You could build a hell on an addition on your house, outfit it with 20 leather chairs, a 110" HD projection TV and the best sound system money can buy for less than 4 PSLs anywhere where the view is good.

It's going to be like going back in time to Shea again. Wind, sleet, 2 miles from the field, can't see shit without binoculars.

I was in my 20's then... don't know if I can put up with that shit anymore. Maybe it's just not worth it.

Something tells me Jets and Giants fans for generations to come are going to be talking about "the good old days," the golden 25 years from 1984 to 2009 when they used to be able to afford to go to games and they actually had excellent seats no matter what section they were in. Those days are gone forever now.

That is a truism & especially in this economy I think even corps are feeeling the pinch. I could just see Citi bank taking those very pricey PSLs then taking bail out funds & then being taking the task by the Prez at his press conference for not using bail out funds properly

That is exactly what is happening. There has already been talk on capitol hill about corps taking the money and then squandering it on "naming rights."

Woody has a hard sell coming up. Good. He's the one who should burn in hell, not Leon Hess.

Yes my firend had 2 seats in the UD of Shea if I remember correctly 2 rows from the top but they split the 50 yd line & I thought they were terrific seats compared to my loge box at the time behind the NYMs bench.

Can U say DOME? I am sure that is the ultimate, ultimate plan even though now they are in denial about it. Once ALL the NYJs & NYGs PSLs are sold is when step 2 of there plan to take there fans money will be implemented

Well I guess that BIHW poster was way, way, way ahead of his time

Hess gets the burn in hell honor for only caring about Hess Oil & never the NYJs & until he realize his time was coming to an end & hired BP

Yes Woody gets a seat as well for 9 years of losing FB & raping us fans

Yes, that's when Upper PSLs will be announced, to finance the dome. Phase II of the biggest screw job in the history of NY sports.

Don't anybody think it can't happen.

Concerning the DOME I queried the NYJs on this point since some were in denial on it. Here there reply

You did hear correctly, it is not being built with a dome due to construction costs, but has the capability to have one put on if both the Jets and Giants decided to add on in the future

77 guys they told me there are around 3,000 accounts. I have no idea for 78 & beyond but I would guess the years beyond 77 have even more accounts per year then 77. Also all of us that have UD seats should be prepared to be pushed back since I again guess there are around 36 sections in the UD with again I guess 20 seats per section means there are about 700 seats per row so with around 3,000 77 accounts average 4 tix per account & say most take the UD option that means 10/12,000 seats are spoken for right off the bat

I guess I'm okay with your math but you don't take into consideration losing anyone from this group.

Some will go for the PSLs and others will just get pissed and walk away once they find out their ticket price is increasing (for a much worse seat), they have no cover, they have no access to any of the amenities, they have a lousy view and they have to park in Oshkosh.

It is just a guess estimate. Even if only 1/2 of the 12,000 seats I mentioned opt for the UD that means 6,000 seats spoken for right off the bat or about 20% of the UD. If U extend that out to 78 another 6,000 then 79 another 6,000 then 80 another 6,000 which means the some from the 81 group would fill out the UD. I have no inside info but the above figures are based on what the NYJs told me that there are "around" 3,000 accounts for 77& I just took that same number for 78 onwards cause I am feel certain there are more accounts for 78 then 77 & more for 79 then 78 but again it is all just a guess

Have no idea but since most of the TGG members are NOT season tix holders & the NYJs have not given me the list I can not say who would be on the list I like or dislike

Here's where your math goes awry. The '77 crew is actually many years, from 1964 to 1977, all lumped together. It's not a single year.

Your count is accurate up to the beginning of 1978, but I doubt there are as many '78 people as there are a total of the 13 years prior (1964-1977). It has to be a much smaller fraction.

Not saying my mid-'80s seniority gets me in, but there's hope for somebody around '83 or even later.

Remember that some of those older seniority people are up there in age too. They've been under cover in excellent seats and are now faced with going up and out, away from the action and exposed to the weather (assuming they don't opt for a PSL).

When they calculate all the hassles involved, including being banned to a far-away, outside parking area that almost guarantees a very late exit and more traffic when leaving the game and a higher ticket price for a shittier view, they just may decide "Fuck This" and not even respond.

No it does go awry I am dealing in accounts since that is what the NYJ rep used. Yes from inception to 77 there are around 3,000 accounts that is a fact since it comes from the NYJs. So if you go on the bases there are 4 tix per account that = 12,000 seats. Now take away 1/2 for what U said they do not care any more, they took PSLs so that leaves 6,000 seats taken in the UD for all those folks. Now comes 78 & just estimate there are 3,000 accounts for that year & go thru the same theory as U did for 77 & that takes up another 6,000 seats so for years 77/78 that would be 12.000 seats spoken for. Now do the same for 79 that would add another 6,000 seats taken up so now 18,000 seats are spoken for. Now there is 80 same theory same results now 24,000 seats are spoken for & that leaves some lucky ones for 81 that would get UD seats

If your argument is that 78 forward are just single years & not a combo like 60 to 77 is so there are less then 3,000 accounts per year which while possible in my opinion is doubtful since they are newer then say the ones for 60 to 70 are. Look as I said several times my numbers of accounts per year is just a GUESS & certainly could be off either more or less.

There is nothing wrong with guessing, I'm just saying you are adding 6,000 seats PER YEAR after 1977, which has to be incorrect, since the total for all the years prior to 1977 (by your own estimates and the NY Jets) is the same 6,000.

By my guesses, it may be as low as 500 seats per year, because your 6,000 (or original 12,000 but cut in half due to opting out) is based on 13 years or more.

By those numbers, 6,000 seats get taken right off the bat by 1977 and older, then 1978 takes 500, totalling 6500, then 1979 takes 500, totalling 7,000, and so forth. It is possible there will be more room for those in the late '80s or even early '90's to still get into the Uppers, that's all I'm saying.

Wait until the Upper deck is more secure, construction-wise, and they allow somebody up there to take pictures like 17a did. If you take a pic from the Uppers in, say, Row 25, Leon Washington will look like an ant on the face of Mount Rushmore.

Tempting as hell. A good investment in your own real estate too.
