I would be willing to throw this year and draft Eric Berry.
    Jets - 4-12!

I think we should consider a QB in the first rd. and that will probably be Josh Freeman. The reason being is that there is only one QB worth taking next season and that is Brafford. And unless we tank the season, we most likely will not have the number one pick.

If the QBs we have on the roster do not pan out, and even if we get ourselves a QB in FA, that QB will most likely only be a stop-gap. Not the long-term solution to the problem. That puts us in a situation of having to wait until 2011 to perhaps get ourselves a QB.

unless they want to sit the kid for a year and a half, he's not going to be the answer.

he has a great arm, but he is really raw, and isn't the best decision maker.

and who told you that??? NFLDraftCountdown.com?

Ah so I have seen you before.
But seriously, The Vikings have the Running Game so the QB is their only question mark. Tavaris Jackson damn sure isn't the answer

Everything that you are saying about Freeman is being said about Stafford.
When you look at the strengths and the weaknesses of both QB's it is almost a toss up. When people talk about him being raw, All QBs who come in the NFL are Raw

Give Me A QB who wasn't RAW

There is no such thing as a QB who is now ready to play in the NFL.
Most QBs who start as Rookies, start because they looked head and shoulders better than what was already on the roster. It was never the intention of some of the coaches to start these guys, but due to the circumstances they mind as well let the rookie start and take his lumps.

So every QB is at the same readiness when entering the NFL?

I like looking over old threads, especially this one since it pertains to this April's draft.
