There?s no comparing those two, imo. Dansby is one of the best LBs out there, and he can do everything, he?s asked for. I think he?ll at least get 8-10 million a year. Scott isn?t close to the talent, Dansby has, but he?s still a pretty good LB, he know the system very well and he should come to reasonable price, that?s why many would love to see him come here.
He plays both ILB and OLB... he is a machine... but, I would say a bit out of our price range at this point.
He?s a 34 ILB and a 43 OLB, his talent would be completely wasted if you ask him to go up against a OT 1-on-1 on a regular basis as a 34 OLB.
If we got him then it would mean that Rex Ryan wanted him, in which case I would trust that Rex would use him in the most efficient manner possible. My mentality right now on defense, is whatever guy we pick up, is a good move, because I trust Rex Ryan when it comes to defense... so if we go after Dansby, its for a damn good reason.... but once again, financially I don't see that happening.
yeah, and that would be ILB, right next to Harris. And there is a damn good reason, to go after Dansby, he?s one of the best LBs right now in the League, and he?s young. But as you said, the problem is, that he?ll cost a boatload of cash.
The guy that wrote this article and does this site knows his shit. http://www.nyjetscap.com/salarycapcuts09.html
considering he's a pro bowler, he'll want top 3 money... might as well get Lewis for the same deal. Better leader IMO.
