Nice job... especially on the ILB's. Some independent thinking there, and I happen to agree, which of course makes me like it all the more!

Jabba, you may recall that WE were the biggest Cutler flag wavers back in the day.... LOL.

BUT... I think Donald Brown is too low. I know, his college competion and schedule was weak. I know he isn't a burner. I know he isn't a great inside the tackles RB. He has some wiggle, but not the sexy game breaking kind.

Now... he DOES have that sort of all-around ability, not so different from Thomas Jones. He CAN emerge from a pile, he can run a 4.5 (maybe bettering that at the combine), he DOES have some elusiveness and maybe the best straight arm move I've ever seen.

He doesn't do anything GREAT, but he does almost everything pretty well. He is a team leader, and there are ZERO character concerns. He told his parents "no Christmas presents, lets 'adopt a family' " His first gaol as a pro football player? Open a soup kitchen.

I pray he lasts until the Jets second round pick. He is the perfect depth for Jones, an all-around RB that has proven his durability with over 300 carries this past season. Offensive player of the year in the Big East, led the nation in rushing.

V Davis, CB in the first (we need a man cover corner for the 46 defense), D Brown, RB in the second.... my dream draft for the Jets. What says you?

Looks like a solid board.. I'll probably come back with some more feedback later, but just a few quick hits.

Jason Boltus from Hartwick as the #7 QB ahead of Graham Harrell and Chase Daniel? I've seen the name, but I know nothing about him. Could you fill me in a bit?

How do you think Iowa DT Mitch King would project to ILB? I've seen this suggested before and based on what I've read, it looks like he could be a big 3-4 ILB. What are you're thoughts on this?

    No Jasper Brinkley...or Emanuel Cook?!?

You can't rank Connor Barwin as a tight end...he's not going to play there in the pros.

Jabba, I appreciate the love for the small school guys, but there's not way Bronson and Branson are better TE prospects than Fresno's Bear Pascoe.

I got some issues with your WR how is Brandon Gibson ranked below Louis Murphy, who has alot of the same qualities as DHB. Also I cannot see how Michael Johnson is that bad. Also I think you use the DE/OLB term very extensively. I would recommend a DE/3-4 rush linebacker spot for some of those players

Michael Johnson's extreme inconsistency and ineffectiveness against the run makes him a risk. He didn't even start until his senior year. He was limited to a pass rushing duty until then and probably profiles as a situational pass rusher and not an every down DE in the NFL.

Curry should be the # 1 OLB and Marks should be ranked higher on the DT list (Brace had a nice senior bowl but Marks probably goes ahead of him). Otherwise most of the rankings look pretty good.

Brian Cushing as the #6th OLB? He will be a top 25 pick.

With the exception of Curry every OLB I listed ahead of Cushing is listed there as a 34OLB, which means Cushing is the #2 43OLB on that list right behind Curry

I'm not too crazy about Emanuel Cook, but I do like Brinkley with a later pick, I even mocked him to the Jets in the 7 RD Jets mock I posted last week, and you can definitely make a case for him in the TOP 10

Barwin I don't know about, I'm not sure where he's playing, its probably 34OLB but I wouldn't rule out TE

On your last point, you're right, I do have an affinity for the small school studs and I always try to make room for some of those kids in my positional rankings

I wouldn't mind that, TBird, its good value in both spots and it also fills two needs, and I do like both of those players

Funny thing is I really liked Harrell in college and I loved Chase Daniel, he might have been my favorite college football player over the past two years, but he wasn't blessed with NFL size and no matter how good he was in college that's a big obstacle to overcome in the pros, and I'm not sure if Harrell has an NFL arm .. that's why I ranked Boltus ahead of them, he's more of the NFL prototype with his size and arm

Why Rashad Johnson at 6 at the safety position?

He's had success at DE at college - that's why he converted to that position.

The only reason Barwin was listed as a TE at the Senior Bowl is because too many defensive ends were already on the roster.

He'll play defense in the pros - that's easy to see.

Good effort........I like how you rate players at multiple positions...DE/OLB, CB/S..etc.

    Everyone's board is different....

LeSean McCoy is my highet rated RB.

Percy Harvin...........He's not a true WR and shouldn't be rated higher than Britt and Nicks. You want to rate Harvin a "slash"....RB/WR/KR...that's fine, he's a weapon(when Healthy) ,but is far from a polished WR.

Levitre is my second highest rated guard.....Duke Robinson has fallen.

Sharrod Martin was overlooked in our Rd 3 Mock.

I have Michael Hamlin rated higher #8, I really like his potential.

I know you like Casey and his good numbers in 2008, but I believe. Shawn Nelson is a better player.

I didn't say you were wrong, Mr. E, I just said I wouldn't completely rule it out .. and for the record I do think Barwin, in the off chance he does play TE, is a better TE prospect than Pascoe .. but I know its probably 34OLB for Barwin, but I couldn't find a spot for him on the DE/OLB lists and I wanted to get him listed somewhere because he's a good athlete who has a chance to be a really good player, so I threw him in with the TE's and made sure to indicate "DE/OLB" as well

I admit its a little bit of a weasel way of getting Barwin in the rankings, but what the heck

I really like McCoy too, WW, and I have no problem with ranking him #1 .. I can see why you would do that and I may do it too as the off season progresses, I won't rule it out, I like him and my mind is open to a rise up the board

Harvin too me is such a dangerous playmaker that I overlook his limited experience at WR and consider his upside instead .. he's one of those guys who scares the heck out of you if you're on the other team

Levitre is another guy I like so I have no argument with that ranking, but I'm not ready to bail on Duke Robinson, I still like him a lot .. Manaluga and Duke are both dropping a little, but I'll still take either one of them on my team

Yeah I kind of slept on Sharrod Martin too, but I have to see what he does at the combines to be sure .. I expect him to perform very well and this ranking is based on that assumption, but we'll see .. I'm not too crazy about Hamlin, but I haven't seen enough of him to be sure and I respect your opinion so I'll have to take a closer look

Lastly, James Casey .. I love him!

Every year I really latch on to one or two small school studs and this year "THOR" is muh main man!

I appreciate your effort, but I always believe that scheme and style specific positions should be separate. Cover 2 corners separate from man corners, power backs separate from scat backs, 3-4 linebackers separate from 4-3 linebackers (both inside and outside). I don't want to sound harsh, or hypocritical (since I haven't released my rankings yet), but all corners (or any other position) aren't created equal. The same corner can be #2 on the list of one team and #5 on the list of another depending on the schemes that each team runs.
