What about Josh Freeman at 17?

    Jay Cutler played in a pro-style offense at Vandy. He was more ready to play in the NFL than most guys around here gave him credit for.

    It doesn't have to make sense to you - he's a better fit for the Lions, by far.

    No he doesn't. Freeman plays in the spread at Kansas State. Dave Brock is a spread coach - he had success at Temple.

    Hu Boy!
    Freeman has played in a Pro Style Offense for 3 years.
    He started the Fifth Game of his Freshman Year and has been playing in that style of offense since then.
    And his coach's name by the way with Kansas St. was Ron Prince
    Dave Brock is the Offensive Coordinator and he works with the WRs

    Dave Brock was the offensive coordinator under Ron Prince...Brock runs a form of the spread offense.

    Brock was retained by Bill Snyder - he NOW coaches the wideouts. Ludewig from Utah is their new OC.

    Freeman has been in a non-shotgun oriented spread offense for three years, not a pro-style offense. It's more of an ace spread.

    Brock was just hired in 2007. He worked with the WRs his first year and received the offensive coordinator's position in 2008. It was a Pro-Offense
    Maybe there might have been some spread put in, but the overall offense was a Pro-Offense
