I didn't see this posted anywhere, so I just thought I'd mention that on Mike and Mike this morning, Erik Kuselias (?sp) said Peter King told him that Favre will "definitely not play next season; write it down". Now I know this is hearsay and King is still an ass, but if he has some knowledge about this and it's true, I would certainly be happy. I'd just like Favre to make it official before FA starts so we could get our cap space back!

If King said Favre isn't playing, then I'd chalk it up that he absolutely is.

Odds of Favre coming back just went up substantially. It's not a sure thing, though. But still...

King knows Favre on a personal basis and as big a dick licker he may be I think he may be onto something with Favre. I just wish Favre would make some sort of statement instead of letting the devil do his bidding.

He's on to something alright, King goes straight for the poop shoot when Favre or Brady turn their back... tongue first.

I made this thread like 2 weeks ago. Then someone made one last week. Here it is again. We give King too much threads on this site. Out of the 3 made for the EXACT SAME TOPIC, that was 3 too many.

I just spoke to a Deer in my back yard, who has a cousin in Mississippi. He said that his cousin, we'll call her "Bambi", said she overheard Favre in a tree stand telling one of his buddies that he's not coming back. When the Deer in my yard tried to get more info, he said he heard a "load pop" in the background, and the line sudddenly went dead.

I don't know why Favre even talks to King any more. All he gets for it in return is this kind of pot-stirring, which does Favre absolutely no good in the PR department.

Seriously, Favre should ignore text messages from King from now on. Maybe he already is, last round of King-Favre news King was quoting him only from after the final game, nothing more recent -- and you know d@mn well King had to be trying like hell to get a more recent comment out of Favre.

He's not coming back. Anyone could see prior to the Dolphins game that he was done as in the NFL. Good riddance.

This is not a great year for free agents you have Lewis, Suggs & the corner for Oakland (I am not even going to try to spell his name) the rest of them are not the type of players that will single handedly change our team so unless you get 1 of these 3 keep Favre.

my rule of thumb for about the last year has been unless adam schefter reports it, it has about a 50/50 chance of being true. that goes for anything having to do with the nfl.

yeah since NFL Network has been around I use Adam Schefter as my barometer of report validity the guys right on about 90 percent of the time and breaks the big stories first almost the same percent.

Yup. It's funny how almost overnight Schefter became the pure go-to guy for what's going on in the NFL. He could run his own PFT type site and get paid! (although I'm sure the NFL Network is keeping him beyond comfortable).
