The court of Law ALWAYS has it cut and dry : Either GUILTY or NOT GUILTY. But....the court of PUBLIC OPINION is another different issue. And that's what we're dealing with. Some here think he's guilty even after he was found innocent.
If Ray Lewis will only come here if Brett Favre returns I'd rather have neither of them. I'd rather have Bart Scott and Clemens/Ratliff.
Not really.. O.J. lost everything he had and more and turned into a walking punchline. He owed over 33 mil to that family of the victim; every dime he made went straight into their pockets.
And I speak for many fans out there when I say "WHO?" Seriously, though. If Ray-Ray only wants to come here if Drama-Queen is the QB, then I'd tell Ray lewis to stay in Baltimore.
Hmmm..true. By the way, just curious, do you think the sentence he got for that idiotic robbery was too excessive or no?
I guess. No point, though. He'll be dead within a year in prison when the general population there discovers his presence.
jesus youd think someone asked us to sign Rae Carruth out of the pen. the only reason to bring up the ray lewis trial would be to imply hed be a negative influence on team motivation or chemistry and contrary to whatever he did or didnt do in Atlanta almost a decade ago hes made a reputation for being one of the hardest working, smartest, film study oriented, team captain, "coach on the field", toughest need I say more the guys a future HOF lock and probably one of the greatest LB'ers to ever play. that being said hes not as fast as he used to be but considering the intangibles and that he can still play hes got 2-3 years left before his body is officially done, barring any injury. im not saying bring him in, im not saying dont. i just think from a business and strategy perspective the Ravens dont want to lose Rex Ryan and Ray Lewis. that literally says, hey we pride ourselves on defense after losing the lone coach left from our vaunted SB team, we decided keeping our franchise icon and team captain wasnt that important either. no, if your expecting to see a Ravens LB trade in for Green and White it will be either Terell Suggs or Bart Scott
I'd probably be most in favor of bringing in Ray Lewis if Favre did return. Going by what the coaches and his agent have said, it seems pretty clear that Brett will likely have no accountability and probably won't have to answer to the CS, but...if he has another +2 INT game than he's definitely going to have to answer to Ray Lewis. Just think about it: who better to get Favre to try and actually make reads and diagnose plays rather than throwing the ball up into triple coverage than Knifey McStabstab?
lol funny and true but this will happen when by magic A)brett favre decides to come back and B)the salary cap no longer exists by training camp
Its funny , some of the same people who don't want to see Vick come here because he....... would welcome Ray Lewis. How perverse. Which make me a pervert
I think we made our move to change the culture w/ Rex Ryan. I don't see us signing Lewis at his age and price tag. I think Lewis is just driving up his price in Baltimore. Bart Scott should be the target. Their safety wouldn't hurt, either.
He played like shit because the Defense called for him to play 20-30 yards off the LOS last year. What do you expect him to do from there?
I personally would not mind a murderer playing ILB. I think a RB coming through the hole and seeing a murderer standing there would scare him a little. Maybe what this D needs.
signing Ray Lewis would be awesome he has plenty left. Quit all the crime talk he's not a criminal he's just a guy who freinds that didn't think wisely. The way some of you have posted youd think he was ordering more hits than he makes on the feild.
Let's not hate on Jason Kidd. Give him credit for pretending TJ is his own kid, when his wife obviously cheated on him with one of those aliens from Mars Attacks: As far as Ray? Well, there's a solid chance we end up going ILB early in the draft this season. Why not bring in Ray to mentor TWO young ILBs and give us a few productive seasons in the process? He immediately improves the defense, and it could reap future dividends, provided he doesn't break the bank coming here.
