I am happy with how things went: San Francisco 49ers 10) Everette Brown, DE/OLB, Florida St. 42) Herman Johnson, G, LSU 74) Ron Brace, DT, Boston College Atlanta Falcons 24) Brandon Pettigrew, TE, Oklahoma State 55) Patrick Chung, S, Oregon 90) Dorell Scott, DT, Clemson
Here what DSavis said about Cable. Mario Henderson was a Davis pick.. Davis talking about Cable. -DAVIS: Just listening to him. What he did with the team at the end. And just felt that his excellence with the offensive line was never in doubt. It was his own blocking scheme, which we talked about improving on with some power, getting some power in there. He?s good. He really is. He really loves football. He has a passion for the goddamn thing, which a lot of these others, they have a passion for the authority it gives them or the focus with you people. I mean, that guy every day was killing us with (Lane Kiffin)? Jerry (McDonald) would listen to him every day. We took a left tackle and didn?t play him the whole season because he was my pick and then when he got into the goddamn game, in the couple games he played, he dominated the game. He dominated Gaines Adams and then he had the guy from Houston, Mario Williams. He didn?t get a sack. You didn?t see him.
I'm really happy with how the draft went: 1) LeSean McCoy 2) SenDerrick Marks 3) Mohammad Massaqoiu Going in to the draft, I felt WR, DT, and RB were Indys 3 biggest needs. Addai was dissapointing this year so McCoy adds a huge playmaker. Indy was great against the pass, so Marks should help sure up the run defense. Massaqoui was Stafford's deep threat at Georgia and with Marvin Harrison towards the end of his career, he'll give Peyton another option.
Yes Sir! The very end of March into early April. It usually takes 2 1/2 weeks to complete. I will be putting together a list of GMs next week and assign teams.
Well -MC-...........I going to give it some thought. But here's my current feelings.... I must say that GM's that made all their picks in this draft and forwarded their draft boards will be given 2 teams. A GM that missed picks at least 2 or more picks (Didn't respond to my PM's or never sent a draftboard) may not be offered, or may have only 1 team. I have to check the circumstances. I will probably PM each GM individually and ask which Teams they would like. I would stress to each GM to be fair and not take 2 teams at the top of the draft or multiple picks, I will have final say. I will offer Teams to the GMs that made all their picks...first. Assigning the Jets........I try to rotate it each year. I will never take the Jets, I have enough fun running this draft, I want others to have a chance. I know it's impossible to make everyone happy, I try to be fair with all. IMO, being a GM in this draft is a privilege, not a right.....you need to earn your way. The 7 Round Mock' NY Jet's GM....will be Jabba......for his help the past few years, he's been the one person, I could count on all the time and NEVER let me down. I hope everyone will agree, Jabba deserves it. Alot of people give me credit for this draft, but Jabba has helped me in developing this draft and I have stolen alot of his ideas. Green Hurricane has been a big help in the history of TGG's Mock draft. I will be selecting a couple of Newbies for the 7 Round draft, they can't miss a pick or it could be removal. I want to thank MrE & Baker for their help stepping up this year.....appreciate it. Any Comment or ideas would be appreciated. I don't want people to think this is WW85's draft, it isn't, I'm just the commish.....it's everyone's draft. Also, I enjoy running this draft, it's a labor of love. They only way this draft will continue to be succussful, is to have a strong core group of GMs that understand the rules and want the darft to succeed.
This was my first year away for the weekend, but I was able to get my board in and thanks Jabba and WW85 for using my board and making the right choices. I am very happy with my draft Jabba is a great choice for the Jets, I can't wait for the 7 rounder, on the weekends count me in on sending draft boards as long as I am home
Wolfe....you are welcome here anytime, you're an important member of our draft. I appreciate you sending me your draftboards.
Man I need to get a 2nd team come the 7th rd mock draft. 1 team just does nothing for me Thanks again WW85 and Co., this is one of the biggest reasons why I post here and this is as smooth of a forum mock as one can be apart of. 3rd year of this stuff, it just gets better.
Electric - Shawn Nelson, TE, Southern Miss is a great pick in the 3rd. You've got the eye for talent ! Detroit would be lucky to do as well as you did this year.
30) Tennessee - Alex Mack, C, California 62) Tennessee - Mark Parson, CB, Ohio 94) Tennessee - Chris Baker, DT, Hampton Good or not?
It's a good draft based on just the pick of Alex Mack. With Mawae getting older the Titans need to plan ahead for the C position. And Mack is the best prospect by far. He's going to be a 10 year vet on the interior line. An excellent young player.
