Actually I dislike everyone you just mentioned for all the reasons you mentioned, with the exception of Namath. Being drunk on TV doesn't hurt anyone, certainly not in the ballpark of punching your wife, killing dogs or being an accomplice to murder.

"assholes, scumbags, drug addicts, wife beaters, alcoholics, criminals or all of the above"

I am not a professional athlete but at some point was called all of these names. :)

I like how he says if they bring back Farve you will see where they are trying to go as an organization ...saying they have a Win now attitude...so i think that would attract him....Him coming to the JETS with a unproven QB behind center would not be so attractive i feel ..he might as well just stay in BAL then at least Flacco would have 1 year and PO experience under his belt.

All hype but nice to dream bout it. Ya never know.

Agreed on all counts, especially after meeting some of his fellow 757ers.

He is washed up this would be a bad move. He looks slow as hell late in the game now. He cost the Ravens more than he helped.

I know he's getting up there in years for an NFL player but do you really think he's "washed up"? I didn't get that impression at all watching him this year.

The difference between Vick and Lewis is that Vick was convicted of a crime in which there is clear and indisputable proof that he was actively involved in the crime being committed.

Ray Lewis may or may not have been an accessory to murder, but according to our legal system, you are innocent until proven guilty... which Lewis never was. It's definitely a red flag that he was even accused of this, but nothing has occurred since and no evidence has ever come out that he should've been found guilty.

There is no comparison between the two.

The primary impact Ray Lewis can have on the Jets is leadership. Rex Ryan is going to install Baltimore's "nasty" defense, and nobody better defined that than Ray Lewis, so what player is in a better position to show our players how you play truly nasty defense? If we sign Lewis, it is ALL about the leadership...

Besides, even if he is headed downhill, Lewis towards the bottom of the hill is still better than Barton at the very top of his hill.

Guy is tough, Baltimore loves him. He is a leader on and to his teammates off the field. He can probalby recruit quaility defensive players who like to be around him.

IMO he is getting old fast, looks slower every game and really has no endurance. IMO

IMO he is still one of the best MLB'S in the game when he broke Rashad Mendenhalls shoulder this year it was one of the hardest hits I have ever seen in my life. Out of all of the free agent MLB'S out there right now he is the best he alone could turn around our D.

agreed, i dont like any of he guys he mentioned either. namath made a fool out of himself on national tv and made the chick interviewing him a little uncomfortable for like 3 minutes. he wasn't endangering anyone, and didn't cause any harm to anyone except maybe himself. that shouldn't have been mentioned with the other low-lifes.

Gibson just said he didn't like Jews, so disliking somebody is worse then sexually harrassing a women on national television? :drunk:

^ he said he wanted to kiss her. he didn't lay a hand on her or do anything besides say she was pretty and he wanted to kiss her. stop reaching.

and p.s. hating an entire race of people because some made up story book says they killed a made up protagonist is much worse than calling a woman pretty on tv while your drunk.

The guy has lost a step and will be overpaid. The Jets need MLB's that can cover. They already have Harris and Barton, who are fine tacklers.

Signing would be a huge mistake IMO.
