If you had to choose one of these 3 WRs - don't worry about where we are in the draft - which one would you choose and why?

    Darrius Heyward-Bey from Maryland
    Hakeem Nicks from UNC
    Kenny Britt from Rutgers

Not Nicks... I think the others have more potential..

However, I am a Maclin supporter.

I think it's a toss-up between Nicks and Heyward-Bey. Both endured crappy QB play and still produced.

I love their size and ball skills.
From what I've seen, Heyward-Bey is tall and blazing fast and just mega-athletic.

Nicks is big and, where he may not be as fast as Heyward-Bey, his hands look stronger, and he's strong after the catch. To me, this is crucial for a #1 WR, as you can't leave him in 1-on-1 because if the DB guarding him doesn't make the play, he'll rip off huge chunks of yardage or even take it to the house (not to mention, a guy that big will usually win a downfield ball over a smaller DB). That takes away a lot of attention from Coles/Cotchery/and even Smith who, ideally, you want in a 1-on-1 situation because he too makes a lot of players miss.

I know you phrased the question, "it doesn't matter where in the draft," but that has A LOT to do with it. If Nicks is available at our R2 pick, I'd be happy if we select him; whereas, I don't know how comfortable I'd feel picking Heyward-Bey at #17, considering all of our other needs (specifically on D).

My question was very simple, and yet you fail to answer it. Congratulations.

Agreed...nicks is built like a tight end but has soft hands, and just a freak of nature. However, a lot of people dont know much about him because he played for UNC, and quite frankly, no one watches UNC football. I would love to see his combine, anybody have any idea, or have heard anything about what he is expected to produce at the combine as far as 40 speed?

Hakeem Nicks. He'd be the physical receiver we've lacked for so long. Hicks has the best hands in this draft.

DHB reminds me a lot of Troy Williamson.

Nicks, but only because there's no shot of DHB unless we blow the #17 pick on him. If they were to be picked in the same spot, I would say DHB. Since they're not, Nicks.

That's the biggest impression I get from watching him. He actually catches the ball with his hands (a la Fitzgerald) and he looks so much stronger than each DB he's matched up against.

we've had this convo.... I go to the university of maryland. Heyward Bey is just a track athlete thats it he cant go over the middle. Int he nfl that wont cut it especially as a #1 reciever and a 1st round draft pick

You're not alone...I've been calling him a speed slot receiver for a long time.

I value your opinion on DHB the most because you're a Maryland student.

Heyward-Bey..............is not on my radar at all. First, Maryland hardly threw the ball , they are a running team. I remeber seeing Heyward-Bey run a few gadget plays........ reverses, one that went for over 70 yards. Heyward-Bey's route running, haands and blocking are average at best.

Kenny Britt is a polished receiver and has proved he can be a weapon, I still think he needs more development and with the right NFL team can become a very good player.

Hakeem Nicks is my favorite of the 3. Best hands, most physical of the group, not fast, but has good "football speed", he knows what to do when he gets the ball.

The bowl game with WV....made Nicks a household name, at least in the draft world:). West Virginia's defense sucks, but Hicks made a few unbelievable catches that day. Hicks made some big money with his bowl performance.

DHB is the best blocker out of the 3 and his hands are fine
