Before the combine arrives, Favre will be making his decision. Everybody knows what has been reported regarding when Favre will decide about 2009. What I don't get is people bitching and moaning about Favre taking his time and playing this "waiting game". He hasn't played any such games here in NY. Past is past and we all know what happened in Green Bay. But in NY, he hasn't been beeting around the bush. As far as I know, he hasn't even been in the news directly, let alone saying "keep waiting NY, Im gonna tell you first wk of September." We gave him about a month to decide, and that was in the second wk of January. Its still the first wk of February and the news around the league is, he will decide before the combines arrive. God, why is it so hard to understand that for some people? Give him a break. We were all kissing his arse when we beat NE (fuck yeah! ring a bell???). I haven't heard anyone else's retirement yet. Kurt Warner hasn't decided what to do. Kerry Collins isn't sure of his future. Favre is the only odd one out there because of his past, and yet he is the ONLY one who will reportedly let the team know about his plans BEFORE THE COMBINES arrive. Get over it. Its not February 20th yet. If he doesn't decide by then, I'll be the first one to rip him off...
thats when all the complaining should start, but we are Jet fans, we can't wait that long. If this does go into March this place will explode.
Tannenbaum hasn't even asked for his decision by the combine. All he asked for is how he is leaning at that time. So before anybody jumps him know what it is the Jets have asked.
We need to know FINAL ANSWER by Feb. 27th so we know how much money we have for free agency 1 day after that is to late.
do you have a link to that? Because this is the 1st time i've heard that angle on the decision deadline. that really is it.
Arizona has Leinart, Titans have Young. Warner, and Collins can take thier time and not impact thier teams as much as Favre would impact us by keeping us waiting. He's had enough time. I say we help him out. STAY HOME!
No doubt I would give his holyness to the end of this month. Read a snippet today from his agent that said " he has more important things on his mind, he has been deer hunting every day". Brett and his agent can shove that hunting crap where the sun don't shine! We needed to know just where he stood before he left town. This club is in a minor rebuilding offseason and his status as QB is focal to how and what kind of off season program the new staff will pursue. Personally I'm done with the retread routine, it is my hope that he retires and lets the Jets off the hook not to mention the 13 million. Hand the reins over to Clemens and lets get this dog and pony show on the road. Do not waste another year on Brett only to be left in the same posistion next year with all the same question still unanswered!!!!
