Jamie Dukes interviews Ray Lewis on the NFL Network, and Ray Ray discusses the Cowboys, Jets, and Ravens... http://www.nfl.com/videos?videoId=09000d5d80e953f8
If he manages to get thru airport security without getting arrested for having a concealed weapon.....then i welcome him with open arms.
Personally I would love having Lewis on the Jets. I think he'd be a great motivator for the defense similar to Bryan Cox when he was brought in by Parcells. Obviously he'd be a short term solution but he could have a hell of an impact on the young guys we have on D for years.
nice to think about him with the jets but i think we're more likely to land one of their other defensive FA's he's definitely one of the best players in the league, even if he's not playing at an elite level (age, injuries, etc), he changes the locker room and the attitude of the team
Holy F, please God, please, let that dirtbag get hit by space junk. There's gotta be a Saint for space junk. I stopped counting at St. Blaise. I got my throat blessed with candles and was strep the next day. Awesome.
Why would we be more likely to land one of their other defensive FA's? I would think Rex of all people would know what Ray is capable of.
because the ravens would value him above the others and he would be their priority i'm sure rex and anyone in the front office would love to have him
maybe when he retires we can get him as a coach, im sure hed love to be on board with his old coach, assuming rex doesnt get shit canned to quick
Ray Lewis would definitely light a fire under Gholston to the likes of which we have YET to see. He is a leader and would only bring this pathetic D of ours to a new level.
Does accessory to murder mean anything to you guys? It matters to me. I don't want any part of Ray Lewis on this team. Just because for whatever reason ESPN fails to bring up that "incident" where two guys got murdered by Ray's posse from Ray's limo and got off because Ray wouldn't give them up even though he did help them dispose of their bloody clothes. I guess that doesn't matter to most, especially to Disney who has licked his ass the past 5 years. Last week I read where Ray was quoted to say his decision to leave the Ravens was "between me and God". I guess he's only told God the extent of his involvement in the murders too, since the media stopped talking about it years ago. I wanted to see some positives off the field from Ray Lewis since then, and I have yet to. Plus he's already had his best years, and now he just goes for the easy hard "pop" hit for the highlights. Stay away Jets, stay away from Ray.
While I can't ignore what happened but I still to this day don't know exactly what his involvement was. It was a long time ago and if the courts didn't punish him who am I or you to pass judgement on him. That is for our maker.... that being said I'd rather have Bart Scott.
I think letting the murder scandal be the reasoning for not wanting Ray Lewis on the team is wrong. He hasn't had any off the field scandals since, and is not going to go on a murder-spree if he comes to NY. Players around the league praise him for his leadership and good personality, so it wouldn't be an issue. Salary and age are what would be an issue about Ray Lewis coming to NYJ.
