Say... we got some cap space and had enough for one guy.. this is it. awesome player who would help our cover LB problems.

    per roto:
Karlos Dansby hinted Wednesday that he plans to test the free agent market.
Dansby says he'd prefer to stay in Arizona, but "wouldn't mind" moving to a big market like Dallas or New York.

it's a nice thought....but he's going to command a HUGE contract.....and our cap situation isn't in any shape to accomadate such a transaction.

    PSL blues

The wife offered to buy US a 60 inch tv and said she would bbq/ tailgate in my yard for every home game, looks like I either sit NON PSL, or watch em on my NEW TV

    Dansby?

We already have too much money invested in LB'S and he will want alot of ca$h. I would go after the cheaper Scott at least he already knows the system

I suggested somewhere that Dansby fill the void at ILB for us and many people claimed he couldn't play 3-4 ILB; we don't need another FA OLB. Bart Scott should be pursued.

he plays ILB when the cards use a 3-4 and he plays it good...4-3 hes used outside..and i have a feeling the giants are going to go after him hard....and that would make me very jealous

He's a great ILB for Arizona. But given his speed, coverage ability and blitzing ability, he would also make a very effective OLB if need be. This would be a GREAT signing, but bare in mind our cap situation isn't looking that well.

Apparently our cap situation isn't that bad. Someone posted (can't find it right now) about how alot of the roster bonuses this yr can and will be turned into signing bonuses not counting vs. the cap. Coupled with the cap going up again, bunch of cuts, potentially Favre's salary coming off the books, we'll be in no worse shape than most teams in the NFL when it comes to cap.

Yeah I saw that. But a lot of other posters refuted that and said it wasn't the case. I'd like to know if that's true or not...

The non-funny thing is we could have him for the same price we are paying Gholston. What a waste.

we'll be fine as far as the cap goes

less fine if favre returns, but we'll be able to do a few things

tanny is a cap specialist, these same questions come up every year and he creates good cap space every year

just a matter of him doing something useful with that space

wow Ive loved Karlos Dansby since coming out of Auburn, I literally loved watching him play in college. I remember there was a scare about his career being threatened due to a broken toe an improper healing or some shit. thats obviously BS. id take Dansby in a second,

    Scott
    Lewis
    Dansby
    Leonhard

get me 2 of those guys most likely Leonhard/Scott Leonhard/Dansby because two of the LB'ers would prolly be too expensive and I dont see the Ravens being dumb enough to let their icon go. if so I'll take stabbin Ray Ray boom boom Lewis to pump up our D any day.
