He has 2 playoff wins, Billy Volek won in Indy and thye would have had a better shot at NE w/ Volek. he has 2 home playoff wins over a mediocre Ten team and a choking Peyton manning-led Colts team. He has alot to prove.

He was 14 for 19 264 yds and 3 TDs in that Indianapolis game before leaving to injury. To say Volek won that game is VERY misleading.

Volek did finish it off and led them to the GW TD.

You're clueless also. Do you not realize how many BAD quarterbacks there are in the league. Rivers is a great quarterback who hasn't even reached his full potential yet. For a team who's had a useless Favre, Pennington, Clemens, Testaverde, and Bollinger as their last 5 qbs, I would think you'd be less critical of other, actual good, qbs.

I understand that, but you are giving Volek 100% credit for that victory when Rivers led them to 21 points and had a great game.

I think Brees is a very good QB, but I think you hit the root of the disagreement here. People who don't think Rothlisberger is a top QB are living in fantasy football world IMO.

QB's who consistently win big games in the playoffs against top defenses and consistently win close games at the end are what you want. Those are the QB's that will win you championships and those are the QB's that will surely be in the HOF for being great.

It's about winning big games, not putting up big numbers.

Please stop with the personal attacks. You can make your point by sticking with the facts.

Down the stretch this year he did pretty well, I won't dispute that. But I'd like to see him be more consistent. Maybe he's there now and that is what they will get from him going forward. Perhaps he has finally matured and settled in. Not to say I think he's a bad QB, he'd be in top 10 easily for me. Just not sure if I am ready to rate him top 5.

Totally agree with this... Big Ben is shit for fantasy, but you can count on him for helping his team win most of the time, and when it counts.

He's not great, he's good. He is overrated, great is resevred for guys like Brady and Roethlisberger.

    That was my mistake.

big ben is a piece of crap... he is carried by his defense and he gives his Oline a bad name because he runs around like a complete fool!

As for those saying Ben is carried by his defense...I'd argue just as vehemently that Peyton is carried by the fact the Colts always have two top WR targets, and usually have a strong running back as well. Pretty easy to throw to all-pro's all day.

If you want to say Brady is the shizznit I might agree except for the fact that since Spy gate came out we only saw him in one game and then he got hurt. And as for Cassel he beat up on the weak schedule like he should have and got crushed when he faced a good team in the Steelers. CRUSHED!

As far as Brady goes, NE was 5-11 the year before and 0-2 in 2001 w/o him. IF the taping was a big factor did they all of a sudden start doing it when Brady took over?

Knowing the signals is an advantage, but it's more of an advantage when your QB is clutch and instinctive enough to take advantage of them. I don't understand why anyone would question Brady's ability after seeing him play. He's amazing. An amazing jackass, but still amazing.

Perhaps but it's also easier to make an above average QB look like a Hall of Famer by knowing what the D is gonna run. Never saw a QB able to read blitzes as well as Brady...and I'll always believe that's because they were cheating.

How the hell was he supposed to win championships with the scrub wideouts he had throughout his early career?
