I don't know if he's the best receiver left at this point or not. But what I do know is 6'6" receivers with good hands and athletic ability is a valued commodity, and it's exactly what the Giants need. And if he reaches his full potential, watch out. The New York Giants select: WR Ramses Barden, Cal Poly.
Grim Revis No show...Indy selects.........Sen'Derrick Marks, DT, Auburn Cakes(Tenn) is OTC....PM sent
Guys!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will be off-line from 10:00 A.M till 8:00 P.M. today, Tuesday, Feb. 3. Please PM any boards to any GM, who might be on-line and is able to pick for you.....Mr E may be able to help. Please ask that GM to do it first, don't assume. Also, if a GM misses their pick (over 3 Hours).........some make the pick that isn't picking within 5 spots. I PMed My Texan's board to Jabba & Mr.E, in case Houston is OTC.
Time's up for Quack - I'll make the pick... The Arizona Cardinals select Troy Kropog, OT, Tulane Pittsburgh (TheCoolerGlennFoley) is OTC - PM sent.
Kicking off the third and final round... The Detroit Lions select Coye Francies, CB, San Jose State St. Louis (Green Hurricane) are OTC - PM SENT
With the 2nd pick of the 3rd round, the St. Louis Rams select: LB Tyrone McKenzie, USF. Chiefs and Quack are up.
With the 3rd pick of the 3rd round, the Kansas City Fightin' Larry Johnsons select WR Derrick Williams, Penn State. I can't draft lines three rounds in a row, and the Fightin' Larry Johnsons need a receiver to team with DBowe. While Derrick Williams is more of a receiving running back than a receiver, he has a lot of potential. While not a flat out speedster or a great route runner, he is extremely agile and has a second gear that he can use to get away from defenders and beat them deep. Devard Darling? Is he really their #2? Even if the Fightin' Larry Johnsons used a third straight pick here to shore up their lines (can't name prospects), they are rebuilding. Receivers usually take three years to develop, and you can expect Derrick Williams to develop into a reliable #2 receiver. Great? No. But he will be a good possession receiver underneath with the ability to go deep, and if the Fightin' Larry Johnsons find another receiver on their roster to play the #2, Williams can return punts and kicks well, too. The Seahawks are on the clock. Edit - Hurricane is a genius.
Seattle has no future at QB what so ever(Frye stinks...) and while Wallace isnt a horrible QB, he isnt a type of QB that Seattle can build around so I think this pick makes sense as far as getting the future of the team when Hasselback leaves or isnt well enough to start(Showed signs this year....) The Seahawks select QB Nate Davis of Ball State Ima PM the next person.
Cowboys aren't here. I'll make this pick for them. Dallas Cowboys select OG Trevor Canfield, Cincinatti.
Some people might call this overkill, three D-linemen in rounds 1, 2 and 3 (DT and two DE's), but its really not because the Bengals D-line is that bad and that much in need of a complete and total overhaul, which is why they ranked dead last in sacks in 2007, second to last in 2008 and dead last over the past two seasons (07 & 08) combined Therefore I'm prefectly content with three DL's for the Bengals and I love the value we're getting on a DE in this spot On that note, the Cincinnati Bengals select ROBERT AYERS - DE - TENNESSEE RAIDERS (James Hasty) are OTC PM BEING SENT
