I have always been a fan of his. Ton of talent, never realized but he played for a coach that is not qb friendly. How many times have you seen a change of scenery do wonders for a Qb? He's 29, has experience, looking for a 2nd chance and being on the Steelers for a year just watching could not hurt. Sign him and let him compete with the other 2. What do you think?

We definitly need to sign a veteran. I would rather him then some of the other names being thrown around, like Boller, or Grossman.

I prefer Carr for the same reason but I think he has more talent and failed in a much worse situation than Letwich did. I would not want to pay more than back up money for either of them until the prove they are worth starting money.

They are all terrible. Garcia is the best of that bunch. Forget David Carr, he'll never be good.

next year there will be way more running than throwing. Just get the least mistake prone QB with a good arm.... Garcia is actually that guy. Leftwhich maybe.... i still want to draft someone... April 25 is only 3 months away!

Given the other options at QB on the free agent market, I would easily take Leftwich first. Let's see what he can do with one of the best 1-2 rushing attacks in the league, a very good offensive line and a great group of receivers (especially if we acquire another one).

The top choice has to be Sanchez or Stafford if either were to fall to #17, but that's highly unlikely.

I'd love to see Leftwich get to battle with Clemens and Ratliff for the starting job.

If Favre retires I wouldn't mind seeing Leftwich brought in to compete for the starting position. I hope Clemens or Ratliff wins the job, but if not Leftwich would be good until he got injured.

David Carr is done. He proved that when he went to Carolina and struggled horribly.

Sure, Carr has plenty of talent, but he's shell-shocked from his constantly sacked days in Houston. Believe me, I am Carr's biggest fan on this board and I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole.

Byron Leftwich is a completely different story. In Jacksonville, that team was not built around him, like it should have been. Mediocre offensive line, no running game, and every receiver on that team had a case of the drops. He was set up to fail in Jacksonville - Del Rio is an ass clown.

Leftwich's head is still there, while Carr's was knocked loose during one of the trillion hits he took in Houston.

I'm all for the Jets bringing in Leftwich for backup money. No to Carr, Boller, Garcia, and Grossman.

With a weak Market some team will have to overpay for Leftwich who, when given a chance this year, played pretty good. Plus he will be coming from a possible World Champion.

Carr, even with an amazing o-line, sucks.

Garcia and Leftwich are about equal at this point but neither are very good. No point in signing them. We don't need a veteran. We just need 3 QBs on the roster and we have that.

I hate watching Leftwich's painfully slow release

    Don't waste a pick.

Run, and let Clemens and Ratliffe battle it out.

Can we just throw you out there and be done with it? At this point I'm almost ready to stick my ancient dog, Luna out there. You two can compete for the job.

not a waste if it proves to be a 8 year starter... Clemens and Ratliff don't strike me as 8 year starters. Clemens especially.

Ratliff maybe, he's another year away before he makes any noise, but I like what I see.

If one of the blue chippers fall to 17 i'd like to have them. This is the most important position on the team.
