I picked for Seattle, to me it was a nobrainer, maybe the BPA, WR is definitely a HUGE need for Seattle, Crabtree won't make it past them...
How is Aaron Curry not an impact player?!? Curry would be a core player on this team. Again, it's JMO. I'm sorry he doesn't run a 4.19 40 at 6'9 413 pounds like every single player on the Raiders.
I29Wash...........thanks man, Stay tuned you may be taking over as a GM real soon, since you're on the waitlist.
Agreed I edited my post to reflect that. Good pick by the Browns. Jenkins and Wright can make a really nice CB tandem for a long time. Im surprised at how a QB hasn't been taken yet although thats clearly not a need coming from Cleveland.
A new regime taking over an 0-16 team cannot take a LB with the top pick in the draft with a potential franchise QB or LT staring them in the face. It would be career suicide.
Agreed. No offense to Electric who knows his draft and knows the players as Curry IS the best defensive player in the draft and also the safest, but if you don't want to go QB i think Monroe has to be the pick.
I can see why you might want to pass on Olineman with the first pick. IT is very strong draft for Tackles this year, and your probably able to get one with your next pick. Still With dante Culpepper as your QB( one year fix) how can you not get the best QB in this draft. Start rebuilding this franchise. Missing on Joey harrington should not prelude you from rolling the dice again at the most key position. Look at Chargers they missed on Ryan Leaf. Didn't stop them from drafting D Brees and Philip rivers.
The way this mock is shaping up Electric might get paid off for his patience with one of the QB's available at 20.
Browns selecting Jenkins was a no brainer, especially after Curry and Orakpo were gone. Jenkins was by far the best defensive player on my board. The Browns defense is in shambles...only position that isn't a need, IMO is DT & 1 safety position(Rogers & Poole).
Jenkins and Crabtree were definite no brainers. I like Orakpo for the Chiefs especially considering how much Tamba Hali suffered without Allen on the other side, but again I question the new regime's commitment to Tyler Thigpen.
Listen IM not the draft expert you claim to be. Tell me how many LBs have gone number 1 overall. Again I just have a diffrent opinion than you. I don't like your first choice and lets see how you rebound in this draft. Good Luck.
Interesting choice by Detroit. Curry is certainly worthy of the top pick, but I thought they would definitely go for the franchise QB. This will be interesting to see how the rest of the draft plays out.
The Lions have a lot of money invested into their crappy offensive line. This is a very, very deep draft for tackles. Also, I don't want to select a quarterback for fear of David Carr-syndrome. Whoever ends up in Detroit going to have no running game, one triple-teamed receiver, and a swiss cheese offensive line. Aaron Curry is a guy you can build your defense around - Schwartz and Gunningham will get a guy to build around. It's a Mario Williams/Houston Texans type situation...
Why does everything have to be a system? You make it seem like if you have the #1 pick, you HAVE to take a QB.
I'm sorry....RaiderJoe's opinion of drafting a LB #1 holds no water. If a GM, feels that a LB is worth the selection......so be it. Curry, by far, and it isn't close, is the best defensive player in this draft. I could careless what other's think, Curry will be a force for years to come. Curry is a safe pick, the unnamed QB isn't. Remember the Lions hold a crap load of picks still, let's not pre-judge. I wanted Curry in the worst way for the Browns.
