What pressure can Torre put on Arod? He should have laughed it off. Torre is the biggest hypocrite in Yankee history. He fined Boomer 100 grand for saying far less in his book.

ARod is getting slammed by his teammates but he laughs it off? he laughs off everything which is why he can't performa under pressure. He's about individual #s and not about team, he should be pissed but then again he should have been pissed years ago when comments surfaced and should have been pissed about his embarrassing postseasons but he accepts them.

What, do you want him to cry over some overly jealous remarks? Why should he and what on earth does that have to do with hitting in the post season? You are delirious.

No but he doesn't need to comment. Great players get fueled by failure and by disresepct, he doesn't. he collects his check, gets his meaningless #s and he's happy. Imagine Jeter's drive w/ ARod's ability?

No, he laughed off Torre bringing up shit that is several years behind him. And good for him. He should.

You're reading waaaaaaay too much into a journalist's comment about A-Rod's response.

No I'm not b/c that's how he reacts to everything. That's why he always fails when we need him.

And here we go. Junc spends a few weeks making me say to myself "Wow, he's spot on these days" just to get close to baseball season and watch him slip down his Jeter > ARod slope once again.

 I don't think we'll ever agree on baseball except that we both want the Yanks to win.

Sigh... I see it all the time, but it never stops happening. If you need to resort to exaggeration, that doesn't really shine a favorable light on your position. There is a substantial difference between saying that A-Rod is not as bad as some haters make him out to be, or that A-Rod doesn't deserve all the shit he gets, and saying, "OMG A-Rod is teh best EVAR!!"

In case you're curious, I lean toward the former positions.

That's not true man. I don't dislike Jeter (though you sometimes think I do.) I love the guy. He's one of my favorite Yankees that I've actually seen play. I admire everything he's done.

We probably agree that Pavano wound up being a massive waste. (Though I doubt there are many Yankees fans that wouldn't.)

Off the top of my head, I can't think of anything else right now, but I'm certain there are things we can agree on about the Yankees.

And hey, if nothing else, we definitely have something in common. We were both sitting in the upper deck watching games when we had Rags, Pags, Donnie, and Winnie in pinstripes.

Nope. I was sitting in the lower level:grin:. Back then, as you remember I'm sure, you could easily sneak down to get the best seats. I remember getting general admission seats and sitting basically wherever we wanted.

Then we've got something else in common.

EDIT: Though by General Admission, are you talking about the bleachers? Because we only bought bleacher seats one time. It was the worst time at the park we ever had.

EDIT2: There was actually one year where I went to something like 10 Yankees games, and 5 Mets games, (and it may have even been more than that) all of which we legitimately had box seats through my father's boss.

The general admission seats were where the field level boxes if I recall correctly. There were times I sat upstairs but mostly downstairs. I hate that the Yanks are moving across the street but I am interested in going to the new Stadium, I'll probably be at opening day.

    Ahh.

Well, we always bought the upper deck seats. The "Uecker Seats" for those of us old enough to remember. I spent a lot of time in those upper decks, but on days when the Stadium was especially empty, we'd sneak down. Good times.

Nope. You can get them on StubHub, but otherwise, it's still waiting time.

did you see the virtual 3d seat locator? pretty cool.u can even click on something to show you the sunlight for a may game @ 1pm 4pm or 7pm and a august game @1pm 4 pm & 7pm.

i wish the jets would do this.
