15 games is not enough to judge a QB's talent, potential and future in the league.

You know how many great QB's would never of had the chance to win in the league, if the franchise didnt give him a chance to win after only 15 games? You have to learn how to lose before you know how 2 win.

Same could be said for Head coaches... You think people thought BB was a GREAT head coach while with the Browns?

Well...I'm not saying either or... I just think it's unfair to throw VY under the bus after only 15 games.

Just watch that USC/Texas game... you cant deny this mans talent, it's there.

And with Kellen...I'm all for giving this kid a chance with the Jets! He took over as our starting QB after the season was just about ruined. He never had a full offseason, training camp or preseason to build the much needed chemestry with the starting unit thats needed inorder to win in this league.

Where was his run game? Where was his slot WR in McCareins who made drop after drop as a Jet? Where was Faneca as our startin LG? I think we had some scrub by the name of Montgomery or something... Where was a proven veteran in Woody as his starting RT? I believe we had Anthony Clement...Where is he now? Ferguson and Mangold were both 2nd year players in the league when Kellen took over as the starting QB...They will both be 4 year starters next season.

With a Defense that had Robertson as the 3-4 NT and Vilma as our #1 MLB in a 3-4...How could this kid win with that type of team? I never blamed the kid (And thats coming from a Chad supporter, I just loved the guy for some reason)

All in all, I'm not against giving Kellen a shot, I just cant throw a QB like Young under the bus just yet

For all the ridiculing the OP is getting in this thread, you hit the nail on the head perfectly. There's nothing wrong with Vince Young, but we already have a guy similar to him (as far as characteristics go - mobile, good arm, not-so-great accuracy, questionable decision making - though I believe Young is the better of the two) in Clemens. Maybe what Young needs is time to develop under a veteran, so I doubt Fisher would trade him.

It isn't nearly as insane a question as the Herm Edwards thread, the Braylon Edwards idea, Cassel or Vilma and it is nowhere near the ridiculously insane "Cut Moore and Ellis, sign Peppers".

That said, I doubt that the Titans would deal him unless it was for a king's ransom, since even if he isn't the present starter of the franchise, he is the future of it. Additionally, we have a similar QB who is also untested with the proper support, so there isn't a great reason to do it.

VY is having a tough time handling the pressure in a small market in Tennessee. What makes you think he can hack it in the biggest, toughest market in the world?

I was as big a fan of Vince Young comiong out of college as there was, but one thing has become totally evident since he joined the NFL: he simply doesn't what it takes mentally to play in this league. His amazing athletic ability got was enough to make him a winner at every other level, but it isn't enough in the NFL. This is the first time he's ever really been challenged, and he hasn't handled it well.

To tell the truth, I think he'll be out of football in 3 years.
