Remember when people were crying on this site when they cut Marcus Henry? Has to be some of those Jet fans who are the game threads, no doubt.

yeah most of these guys were the practice squad this year. The rest werent even on teams this past year. Definately not reason to get overly excited.

I know these guys are all bottom of the roster types, but I like their choices: guys with at least ONE exceptional quality, at least the resigns.

Huey Whittaker out of USF. wow I havent seen that name in a while. He was someone I actually loved coming out of College, basically,

    6ft 5, 220 lbs

pros:hes got good hands, fights for the ball, aggressive, uses his frame to shield defenders, adust well to the ball while its in the air

cons:lacks top end speed, takes plays off

I think Kenwin Cummings is going to be a useful player for us next year. I'm glad they're keeping him around.

And he knows how to tackle. In the preseason, he led the team in tackles and I remember him making some really nice plays. He's obviously not as athletic as Gholston, but once he's in range of the ball carrier he's ten times the tackler Gholston is.

that's because he is a football player, not an athlete... I'd rather have football players than athletes.

Let's see what Ryan can do with Gholston, and he has coaches who are 3-4 experts. Jim Hermann was the only one who was well versed in the 3-4 on the Mangini staff.

    fuck danny woodhead.

    he's a smurf.

if they were looking for an albino maurice jones-drew, they havent found it i danny.

he ran on D-III stock. not even talent.
if you see his tape, the o-line were the size of starters on a high school jv squad.
cut him. cut marcus henry. both suck.

    Guys we have to cut:
    Favre (13 millions free)
    Bowens (2,5)
    Barrett (3)
Dearth (1) A LONG SNAPPER TAKING ONE MILLION?! CRAZY!!!
this saves around 20 million.. not bad eh? So then we can finally sign someone.

I'm actually very Happy to keep Dearth. Funny how something as simple as long snapping isn't at easy as it looks. Makes few mistakes and has given us a good kicking game , theres a bit of me which also doesn't want Nooge back as well.
