I still think Clemens might be a bit too short to play effectively behind our larger OLine. Its hard to tell if all the movement I saw with Clemens was because he was under too much pressure or that he just didn't get a good look downfield. Seemed that alot of his passes were to spots instead of people and he expected WR's to be there to make the play. I saw Clemens roll out alot and again, it could have simply been to get a better look.

Only a fair and open competiton in TC will solve this. I don't want to see Ratliff go on to become another ex-Jet practice guy making great contributions to another team like our ex-RB Bradshaw.

I voted for Ratliff but I would like to see Leftwich brought in here as well to have an open competition with Ratliff and Clemens.

He is too short. He is 6'2" and that doesn't cut it for a QB just starting out in the NFL these days. Most are 6'4" - 6'5". Anderson and Flacco are 6'6". The lines are huge and how much bigger will they be in 3 or 5 or 7 years from now?

neither has ratliff. He had a couple nice passes in the preseason but I also remember a couple dopey plays against the giants in preseason. Besides, clemens had justin mcairens and no offensive line.

Vick wasn't even a good QB and he's a scumbag who is also IN PRISON right now. I like how you refer to players on our roster who have never had trouble with the law as losers but praise Vick.

GTFOH with this Vick BS. Why do people think Vick was a good QB?

Vick has an upside. He is cheap and needs the money.

I'd like McNabb but I'm guessing it will be Clemens, who actually started some regular season games.

I am onboard with Kellen too.... it doesn't look like we are competing for a Super Bowl berth, so why not see what he has for a FULL season?

After seeing what happened to Brett and Chad in New York, fan support wise, you really think Peyton would leave his organization for that abuse

McNabb is listed at 6'2" - he should change positions or retire before anybody notices he's too short.

voted for clemens. he deserves a shot just like ratliff. I'm not opposed to bringing in a veteran for insurance.

I believe that a verteran should be out of the picture. We need a QB to develop. I believe Brett Ratliff is our man. We gave clemens a shot, now we have to give Ratliff one. He even showed more promise in the preseason than clemens against the same defense.

Agreed. 20 years from now you wont see an OL under 7'0'' or weighing under 400.

Other than Favre, we don't have a starter. Ratliff showed that he had developed some, but he hasn't shown he can lead this team at all. IMO, Clemens has shown that he can't, and I never thought much of the Ainge selection anyway.

I'm hoping Favre comes back for a year, and we draft someone on day 1 this year.

You know, he wasn't bad at all. Never did get a starting job, though, and that's a shame.

The Funny thing about what you are talking about is that Vick regardless if you like him or not, has taken the Falcons as far as Parcells took the Jets. A Championship Game. We haven't been close since Parcells. And Vick went with two receivers that were back-ups for other teams but starters for the Falcons. I bet hardly anyone in here could name those receivers off of the top of their head.

My prediction: Favre will be the starter, Ratliff will be the back-up, and Sanchez who we will be trading up to snatch will be the third-string. I'm just a little scared about what we're going to be giving up to get Sanchez.
