Josh Freeman will also have good height measurements - he's supposedly 6'6. Late rounder Tommy Brandstater out of Fresno State has the best size out of all of the senior QBs. He's 6'4 225. EDIT: Brandstater was the best quarterback in the East/West Shrine Game. I think he was 10/19 for 159 yds and a TD with limited reps.
Also, I noticed 3-4 OLB prospect Connor Barwin from Cincy is listed as a tight end. I know he started his career as a tight end, but I don't think this is a mix up either because his jersey number for this game is 82. I guess his his 16 TFLs and 11 sacks don't matter much to pro scouts?
I'd love to see the Jets go Raji in the 1st and Tyson Jackson in the second. Talk about getting some talent on the DL. We need much better depth at NT. Picking Raji would allow the team to rest Jenkins more, both in games and during the season. I think he just wore down at the end of 2008.
You could argue Cullen Harper at 6'02.6 is 6'3", but a short crop of QBs there. In this draft, if we're going to go QB, let's not half ass it in a later round, and go with Stafford or Sanchez if they work out well but fall. We don't have to go with a QB in the draft: I'd be fine with Clemens, Ratliff, a veteran, and Ainge battling for the job. I trust that the FO sees them in practice and know better than I do whether our younger QB's are ready.
They didn't have space for him a D-Lineman, so he volunteered to go as a Tight End. That in itself should show teams something, that he was willing to go and show what he had no matter what.
