My favorite part of an article on Newsday.com Ryan has been an assistant with the Ravens for 10 years. "Ten years, that's an eternity in the NFL, that's for sure," he said. "They're special people here. Frank Walker dislocates his shoulder and gets back in there. Anybody can play when they're healthy. True pros get back in there when they're hurt. It speaks to the character of these men."
I'm pretty damn optimistic right now. I just hope Tanny is able to fix our cap issues and bring in the players that Rex needs.

Am I the only one who things this is a horrible move? Rex Ryan is unproven... and the Jets (Woody and Tannenbaum) don't interview Gruden or Shanahan? Two coaches who are proven winners and they don't even think about them. Woody and Tannenbaum are both clueless, this organization is clueless and JETS fans will continue to suffer for it. Gruden is so ridiculously overrated that I bet even HE laughs when he looks at his superbowl ring. Shanahan hasn't done shit in years.
Yeah, you are the only one. The Jets had no intention of hiring an experienced head coach so to talk about any of them is a waste of time. Now if you have another unproven coach to compare him to then by all means do so.
