    February 1 in Tampa

Whisenhunt against his old team. The Steelers memorably passed him over for Tomlin.

Arizona beat Pittsburgh last season. Great game. I remember it mostly because it was a game I had pegged from the beginning.

    21-14 in Arizona

if anybody will have a chance in figuring out the Steeler D....Whisenhunt could be the guy....because of his past experience coaching the Steelers. Should be a good game.

Whisenhunt certainly did just that on 9-30-07.
Big differences- game was played in Arizona and Matt Leinart started and finished the game at QB. Warner played in the middle portion of the game and did direct the Cardinals on one of their scoring drives. Cardinals won, 21-14.

I'll be rooting for Arizona. I hate Pennsylvania and their fans. Glad to see Philly go down, hope Pittsburgh is next.

Big Ben will play like a man possessed vs Arizona ESPECIALLY because Ken Whisenhunt is the Cards coach. Big Ben HATES Ken and felt he got held back by him when Ken was the OC in Ben's 1st 2 years.

Go Cardinals. They are very fun to watch right now. Pittsburgh, not so much.

He had a decent game, 244 yds passing 2 TD(2 INT too) and it was an away game in a dome. Parker gave 37 whopping yds of rushing, which didnt help.

I wonder how the 6th ring will be designed. It will be hard to fit 6 trophies on one little ring.

Wow, I just thought about being a fan of a team who has 6 titles. Must be nice.

At least the Steelers should be smart enough to change some of their terminology, unlike the Raiders, who basically let Gruden know everything that was coming.

Still hard to believe that it's my team going up against the Cinderella Cardinals.

I wouldn't count the Cards out of this one. The Steelers "D" is awesome but I think the Cards will still score at least 20.

I think Warner will outperform Big Ben as well as the Cards receivers
I think Whisenhunt will outcoach Tomlin

I think the biggest factor will be if the Cards can contain Willie Parker and force them to throw it.

By no means is this game a gimme. I admit...I didn't think the Cardinals had a chance in ANY of their playoff games so far, and that's what scares me now that MY team is in their crosshairs.

I had a gut feeling the Cardinals would take out Atlanta, but I was sure Carolina and Philly would beat them. I am taking Pittsburgh in this game too, but with AZ, you just don't know. It would not be like the Giants winning last year (A TOTAL SHOCK), if the Cardinals win I would say, makes sense they are on a roll.

I took them over Atlanta and Philadelphia. I was most sure of the Philadelphia game and so much so that I made a bet with an Eagles fan. Outside of vBookie action here (which involves no real money) and office pools (I haven't participated in one since 2000) I rarely ever bet on football games, so when I do it means I'm really confident.

I thought the Cards would get spanked by the Panthers. In work the week before the Panthers game I was talking about the playoffs with the other guys near me. I said, "If the Eagles beat the Giants and the Cardinals somehow beat the Panthers, the Cardinals will beat the Eagles."

The Thanksgiving game was completely meaningless. Eagles fans brought up that game as if it meant the Cardinals would lose again. Poppycock. That was the worst scheduling decision of the past quarter century. Why did the league make the Cardinals play on a Thursday night in Philadelphia when they had to play the defending league champions four days earlier in Arizona? A loss was to be expected. That was the only Cardinals game of the past 3 years in which I saw fewer than one quarter of action.

    ___

I give the coaching edge to the Cardinals.
I think the Cardinals could get into the high 20s.
The key to the game for the Cardinals: stopping the Steelers run game.
The key to the game for the Steelers: putting pressure on Warner.

Steelers will get pressure on Warner unless the refs let Harrison get held on every play.

I am less confident in the Cardinals shutting down our run game, because it HAS to be easier to run on the Cards than it was to run on the Ravens.

I'm also leery about trying to contain Fitzgerald and Boldin.
