Raiders probably would have made the playoffs this year if Mcfadden stayed healthy Raiders finished very strong this year. Coming back from 10 points in fourth quarter on the road to Tampabay to knock them out of playoffs. Last time Raiders finished this strong 1999 when they beat the Chiefs on the road to end there playoff season. Raiders the next year were playing in AFc Chamionship game. Could happen again.

Get me that Olineman at number seven and a veteran reciever in Fa and watchout.

How did Javon Walker work out for you guys?
The Raiders are going nowhere anytime soon. As long as Al Davis is the owner of the Raiders, they will remain the NFL's litter box.

There aren't enough Gypsy Tears in the world that would enable the Raiders to earn a .500 record...let alone be a contender. Sorry Jeaux.

When did this become the Raider's board? I'll worry about Russell's stats once a year - when we play the Raiders. Great original post LongTime.

Again Javon Walker didn't work out this year> First Raiders tackles Kwame harris and Cornel Green had alot of trouble keeping defenders off of russell.(except against Jets) Without Russell getting the time it was going to be hard for any Wr to showcase their skills. Again it wasn't conincidence that Russell stats and Raiders young Wrs(schilens and Johnnie Lee Higgins) played their best ball when Mario Henderson was inserted into starting Lt position. The guy shutout R Seymour, Mario williams and gaines Adams.
All they need is ONe more tackle to complete there oline .(pick number 7)
Getting back to Javon walker . His season was thrown a big blow last year following the beating he took in veGAS. Coming off knee surgury (those things usually take two year to recover) J Walker probably back next year. Raiders have to get another veteran Wr in Fa to go with their youmng exciting wrs. Its not out of possibility JU walker supprises everyone. Raiders just can't depend on that.

John Madden coming back to work in Raider front office will help. AL davis knows talent. What Madden does . He brings a bumper between head coach and AL davis. Also John Madden knows who the top assistants around the league is. (working all those years in televison)

He defenitly has demonstrated THAT in the last decade. :rofl2:

It's a good thing Tommy Kelly got that huge contract in the offseason last year...his TALENT shone through when the Raiders D attempted to stop the run...kudos to Al Davis!

if that's true..i expect another 4-12 season or worse from the Raiders...with Russell more concerned about finding the next buffet line than winning games.

    good call, Jeaux.

How about all that money Kerry rhodes got. He wasa more concerned about doing his weekly spot on the radio than playing football. (what was the jets pass defense ranked.

HOws Vernon gholston doing and have they found him yet? Hows Dwight "burnt toast " Lowery doing> Hope he recovers from the severe burns.

Yea keep on passing on potential franchise Qbs in the draft . For crap like K clemens and Brett ratcliffe It will be another 41 years before you win another championship. Oh I forgot you don't need a QB if you have a dominating baltimore defense. How did that work for Bengals when they hiried the last raven DC to be their coach.

as much as i may take exception to some of the outlandish opinions of our friendly guest raiderjoe we all have to keep in mind that the raiders did beat the jets this past year so none of us have many legs to stand on......

There is no comparison. Raiders roster on both sides is better than jets. Didn't you see it for yoursdelf when your team ventured to oakland. Were going to kick your arse again.

still grasping straws, eh Jeaux...it's getting borderline pathetic.

Ratliff is 3x the quarterback Russell is for 2 reasons:

    1) he's in shape
    2) he's not being coached by the shit that Oakland has for a coaching staff...aka...Al Davis.

    Wow. So...let's sum it up.

Tommy Kelly is greater then Warren Sapp ever was.
JaMarcus Russell is better now then Brett Favre ever was.
The Raiders O-Line is superior to the Broncos Super Bowl O-Line.
The next Raider coach will be more historic then Lombardi.

    Did I miss anything?
