Was it not Donnie Henderson who last owed a debt to the Ravens organization for just exactly the same sort of fancy schmancy powerpoint presentation that did Rex Ryan such good in making Woody Johnson's johnson woody? Check your facts, gossip girls, this story's got legs.

I thought Donnie Henderson was a terrific defensive coordinator. I thought he'd be a head coaching candidate by now.

Uhh...every wannabe coach does PP presentations if they have any hope of being hired. This isn't new. The ones who don't, like Spagnuolo, end up in St Louis.

Donnie H. was a good DC but did you ever hear him being interviewed? He was not head coaching material, no way. I trust our GM to make the right choice, lets hope Woody is an agreement with him, not the GM is in agreement with Woody. Just sign the checks Woodyee and shake your head yes when Mike says to

Going into an interview of this caliber with a PowerPoint presentation shows drive, readiness, and attention to detail. All of which make a good head coach.

No one is going to hire someone just because they wow them with a PowerPoint, so I wouldn't worry too much about Woody being floored.

    Two thoughts:

    1) I hope Rex Ryan will be our next head coach, but shouldn't he be spending the time he used to put together this powerpoint preparing for the next game. I'm betting the Steelers are focused on game planning.

    2) I liked Donnie Henderson when he came to the Jets, but can't help but notice that he is now the secondary coach in Jacksonville. Sure seems like his stock dropped with the move to Detroit. TAKE NOTE SCHOTTY!

I think that if you use a powerpoint or not who cares... its just a way to present your ideas about how you are going to run a team.... a lot of the interview is a conversation between the two parties. Power Points last a short time in comparison to the rest of the meeting.

    This isn't a HS project.

How do you figure Donnie H was a good coordinator? Because he came in shouting which everyone around here seems to think is the answer before falling to one of the worst defenses before the entire regime was dismantled?

Must just be the Jets and the opportunities we sabotaged him with since he has fared so well outside of the organization. Donnie sucked.

I agree. I don't understand why he was let go, he had fire and the D played well under him.

He was let go when Mangini and Tanny came in because he ran a 4-3.
