When I started this post, I planned to throw the whole 'TO thing' under the bus, but I can only come up with 'pros'. HELP!!!!! Before it's toooo late!!!! pros: TO has $15 million reasons not to commit suicide. pros: TO stomped on the Dallas star after catching the winning TD for philly. Balls my friends, balls. balls! balls! balls! pros: NE has Moss. Read the posts from 2 years ago. Sound familiar? BE HONEST! (read this one again, I can't get past it). pros: "The jets have no identity". Welp, we COULD have one. pros: Brett was POd when GB turned down Moss. Brett would fall out of his tree stand if we signed TO. pros: TO's TD anticts have been surpassed only TWICE in NFL history (when Moss dropped trow and when McNabisco ran into the Giant's sidelines last weekend and 'called the bat cave'). pros: We'd have someone on offense who would gladly knock Coles out with one punch. tic tic tic. How can you pass on THAT???? pros: We'd have someone on offense who could (and most defenitly will) knock Favre out with 13 punches. If you pass on the coles knock out, you CANT pass on the favre knock out. EVER. pros: Post game interviews would be more than listening to Brett. ding ding ding! Winner! pros: We would make ESPN (for better or worse) every single Sunday. pros: Peter King would have one more reason to hate on us. pros: Jim Rome would have one more reason to hate on us. pros: Be scared flight attendants, be very, very scared. pros: We'd get to watch someone other than Coles drop passes. pros: There'd be no money left to give Baker a raise. hahahahahahaha!!!!! pros: We can trade him to Washington and watch him destroy the G-girls. ding ding ding! #1 pros: Hearing TO blame the over-weight flight attendants for dropping the winning TD, priceless.
Wait! I think I have a 'con'.... If tanny signed us up for a 'TO fiasco' we would all forget about the 'Favre fisasco'. Damn. Never mind. Can the mod's add this to the 'pros' list?
thanks xxedge.... Of course TO would be a FIASCO, but not all fiasco's are not created equal. Just rying to brace myself if you know what i mean. imagine for a moment if the next ESPN scroll you read says 'Jets steal TO from Dallas'. could never happen? ask the buc's about 'Surprise!!!!'.
TO destroyed 3 teams throwing players left and right under the bus TO has terrible hands TO is getting old TO destroyed a team even knowing this could be his last chance TO + NY media = nightmare of monumental proportions TO would make the Plaxico situation seem minor the second things go bad Comparing Moss and TO is off by a ton, Moss needs specific QB to do well without that he is ineffective like what happened in Oakland and when Daunte went bad. TO will kill teams even when they are a solid team. It is pretty easy to list cons for me
Ocho Cinco's ability is completely gone. Whoever trades for him is getting completely ripped. Braylon Edwards for me!
i could re-write my original 'pros' post for cinco word for word and just delete the 2 about knocking coles and favre out. and maybe the fat flight attendants (i don't think cinco is that picky being mexican)
He has never been arrested. He stays in great physical condition. He is better than any WR we have on the Jets. Will be a 1st year HOF inductee. Maybe the biggest head case in the NFL. I would roll the dice with a one year contract.
they all desrved to be thrown under the buss He made a small problem into a huge problem and killed close teams Coles Coles doesn't talk as much as TO or begs to be in a huge part of the offense much bigger than reasonable We all are The difference is his diminished abilities along with the aforementioned bad hands doesn't make him worth it It wont be You would be surprised if even the damn Cowboys gave up you just stated the biggest reason to sign him To become the Cincinnati Bengals? Plex is an ameture Plax won a SB Are we discussing Brett or TO? TO ain't Moss U've only listed a few shortcomings he had with other, lesser teams. That is every team he has played for! He is a talent but isn't worth it, we are much better off drafting a solid WR to take over for Coles
they all desrved to be thrown under the buss Garcia? McNabb? Romo? Witten? Please explain Coles I'm not entirely convinced Coles should still be on this team. Why should the Jets bring in some one who is older with more baggage? We all are We all do not play for the NFL where age and athletic ability are a major issue. TO does. It wont be You're right, someone will be desperate/dumb/senile enough to make the same mistake Jerry Jones did and he's probably named Al Davis. you just stated the biggest reason to sign him Ditto MSU's point Plex is an ameture Again, you are correct. Plax cannot touch TO as far as team distractions and locker room cancers go. Are we discussing Brett or TO? It could be both, neither should be on this team U've only listed a few shortcomings he had with other, lesser teams. Lesser teams? Lesser than the Cowboys? Because the Eagles went farther with TO than the Cowboys did and each year his team or his play seems to diminish in some way Please just tell me that you're being sarcastic so I can sleep tonight...
TO would get beat down by all the New York fans if he started doing what he did with his last 3 teams. If TO comes to New York...expect bloodshed haha
I think ocho cinco is so much better. Just needs a qb and he's an auto deep threat...he will beat anyone off the ball if he wants too(unless your name is Niamdi haha)
Ocho played through a shoulder injury all of last year, the only anomaly in his statbook. Is there another reason you think he is done? He's only 31, young for a WR...he'll bounce back. Edwards is supertalented, but lacked focus all of last year. Plus, there is no chance Cleveland gives him up.
Edwards IS super talented, and players do have off years. If Edwards wants out I'm sure Cleveland would oblige for the right draft pick package, especially with this years draft. Ocho Cinco is not getting better anytime soon, and he's a headcase to boot. I'm not denying that he is a very good WR, but if I had to take my pick, I'd go Edwards, who physically has the world on Ocho Cinco, and has shown already he's capable of excelling.
T.O. may be a pain in the ass, but he hasn't killed anyone, shot anyone, run anyone over in his car, paid for anyone to be killed, doesn't have a problem with performance enhancing drugs and has a decent track record for production. Sadly I doubt his ego would allow him to accept being used in the role which is best suited to his present skills.
Edwards led the league in drops this year and the only thing stopping him from doing that last year was TO. He's young and gifted but his hands were always an issue and I don't see that changing. I'd love to be wrong about this since I loved watching him in Michigan but he hasn't really done much to prove otherwise.
Hey if the Jets want to sign a washed up 35 year old Douchebag, I can be had for a few million............
