Its been a pretty heartbreaking past 3 months for me. The only thing that might save it is Rex Ryan along with the resignation of Brett Favre -- I cant even call it retirement, its such a f--king joke.

Oh well. Hopefully this makes it less of a decision to go after Sanchez haha.

Disappointed Spikes stayed, but the Jets might not had an opportunity to draft him, I believe Spike's stock was rising, which makes me question his decision.

The amount of players that stayed in school this past week was very surprising, and not good for our 17th spot........quality gets watered down.

Yeah, depending on FA, what QB's are selected before us, and who falls, I wouldn't be opposed to trading down this year and acquiring some picks to get some depth.

Mays and Spikes were both potentials, this also boosts Laurinatis and I don't Maulaga, I am starting to think QB, and hope for a Cutler or Flacco

IMO, if William Moore, Vontae Davis & Rey Maualuga are gone by 17, then we should trade down.

To clarify, I meant a mid to late first round QB in the same success capacity as Cutler or Flacco

Also I just don't like Maulaga as I think he will be another guy in the mold of Harris

and getting another Harris is a bad thing, the guy was a beast last year and played hurt all this year.

in terms of pass coverage?? eh, i see your point.

a harris who could cover - now thats a prospect. Although David isn't terrible at it, but he's no Patrick Willis.

Maluaga will not be good next to Harris. He's undisciplined, and poor at everything other than attacking the line of scrimmage. On the other hand, James Laurenitis is the exact opposite, too slow to react, basically another Vilma who makes tackles 5 yards downfield. And when I say "makes tackles" I mean "pile jumps."

I really wish Mays, Bradford, Spikes and a host of other top Juniors would have declared. That would have really improved the talent available at our pick.

I think some of these guys made some bad financial decisions. And maybe some bad football decisions as well. Bradford's OL has 4 seniors graduating. Imagine what his pass coverage will be like next year.

Yup it is, he cannot cover and he is the enforcer on the line, we need that finesse linebacker that goes sideline to sideline

    KENNY BRITT!

Trade down to like 24, scoop up a 3rd and a 5th in the process and grab this kid. I don't want to see him on any other teams.

Actually he just described the responsibilities & qualities of the MLB in 4-3 defense.

Vilma just wouldnt fit our D.

I think Vilma's best role for the Jets would have been backup LB who played on passing downs. He could have excelled there. But you can't ask a former All Pro to do that. It just wouldn't work.

Vilma was coming off injury and had a good (98 tackles) but not outstanding season for the Saints. The Jets got decent value for him with the mid-round pick.

Who covers in a 3-4, not all the guys are blitzing or playing run contain every play, we do send them on coverage responsibilites

Not one of our LBs have any coverage ability, its embarassing to watch.

What would you do with our LBs
