Another old guy? Why bother? We need to draft someone for find a backup on a diff team and bring him in....or, just use the players we have because there is a 6'4 WR on this team that didn;t get to play all season.

By the way, the Jets are going to have a very, very hard time getting a tall guy or a deep threat guy on the field because Coles and Cotch will be hard to overtake....I think the answer is to runs more 3 WR sets and get Stuckey or Clowney out there more with Keller and Jones....

There are a ton of offensive weapons on the team, and if we keep bringing in new players, guys we already have will get the ball less and want to leave.

    Malcontent!

Easier to shit on someone for bringing an issue to the table rather than make an informed comment on it.

You and Phil Mushnick are the brightest stars in the galaxy. You should go over to his house and have a big circle-jerk...

It's the perfect fit. The Jets are a team in turmoil with a crappy OC, no head coach, and no QB, and Owens is a whiny cry baby that tears teams apart from the inside out and also happens to be on the downside of his career.

Why didn't we think of this sooner?

TO is what 34, on the downside of his career. He is a locker room divider and a problem all around. NO.

I would rather take a chance on Chad Johnson.

Hey I think its a perfect idea. If TO can be lured to NY, maybe then Coles shuts the F up or they start taking shots at each other, rather than the team.

Being from Dallas, TO has been one of the favorite amongst the fans. It is the media that blows...the coverage. Not saying he's doesn't do all that is reported, but Coles does just as much. The difference? Coles is not even near TOs production and is not regarded as one of the best in his time.

He will play his heart out for the first yr. And then in the second yr, he'll start moaning a little. And the only time he moans is when he is ignored on the field. Off the field he has no issues worth mentioning apart from the Philly saga. He has been one of Cowboy's best player the last two yrs and I don't mind if once in a while he bitches a little.

The problem with him staying in Dallas is, Dallas has picked several players the last few yr that have been getting in to trouble on or off the field. Pacman, Tank J., TO and Zack(maybe)? If you have a locker room filled with such people, they don't get a chance to sort them out. See Pacman.

Jets don't have such personalities. U can make a case for Coles but thats about it IMO.

However he'll demand like a 3 yr $20million contract, something we can use on several other great FAs.

Yeah he just needs a change of scenery, AGAIN. He has only destroyed three franchises
already, why not see if he can make it four.

i can't see how a rookie head coach would want to deal with TO. Can you imagine if he was here last season, with Favre throwing all those picks! Oh man, that woulda been something to see.

Now if I was beginning an asylum, I would bring in TO, Vick, Pacman and Burress.

Who wants to deal with these mental midgets on a daily basis?

please tell me you did not have your coffee before you posted this, do you really think it's a good idea for a player to berate his teammates and coaches on the sidelines, in the media and never look at himself as the problem or part of it?

wait, what? just to upset Giant fans...they won a superbowl without Schockey or Barber 2 talented malcontents....

    you let me down bro.

He's not old enough yet...The Jets only go after players that are washed up and getting a pension

You do not win on personalities and dropped passes, things that have become more prevelant in TO's game than quality play. He drops ALOT of passes and is more likely to be found either crying or bitching about the team then making plays to win.

I remember a quote by someone on ESPN that said it perfectly. TO would rather be the MVP of the Super Bowl and lose than win and not be involved.

Maybe we can keep Favre, get TO and sign Manny Ramirez. Sure, the team will fall apart but we'd be the lead on SportsCenter every night of the year, and isn't that what's important?
