Ive seen various postions we are in from 17-22 does anybody know an official spot were in... If it came down to it who do we select with the first round pick??? Tyson Jackson, Sean Smith, Kenny Britt, i mean as the draft is drawing near and all these players who were declaring are now staying in school kind of screws the draft up and players we were looking at will probably be gone.. Now we have to readjust and see where we can get a good player at...

17 is our spot in round 1.....But we're not the only 9-7 team around so in further rounds we will be picking a bit lower.

Here's the Current Jet's Picks for April's Draft. Please remember they will change from the 4th round to the 7th when comp pick are added (we'll get pushed back). I don't expect the Jets to get any comp picks. We could get another 7th from GB (Favre Deal).

    Rd 1.........#17
    Rd 2.........#53
    Rd 3.........#76 (from New Orleans)
    Rd 4........#111 (from Washington)
    Rd 5........#146
    Rd 6........#177
    Rd 7........#209

We lost a 3rd round pick to GB (Favre) & a 4th to New Orleans (Vilma deal)

we gave up a 3rd and 5th for Jenkins. which i guess leaves us in reality

    with rd1, 2, 4, 6, 7.

cuz we agreed on 3rd and 5th for jenkins in upcoming draft and the conditional brett favre equated to 3rd. so i think wed lose that 3rd rder from the saints.

maybe im wrong but i just noticed that.

I thought the 3rd and 5th for Jenkins was taken in last years draft?

And how do we lose a 4th for Vilma? Shouldnt we be receiving a 4th for him?

We already sent the Picks for Jenkins to the Panthers last year.

We got a 4th from the Saints last year, now the pick upgraded to a 3rd and we give them the 4th back.

WW?s list is correct. If we?re lucky, we may get another 7th for DRob.

I doubt there is going to be any compensation for D-rob, he didn't meet the required playing time.

There was a clause, I believe in the Favre trade, if he retires after one year we get GB's 7 Rounder, time will tell.

And if the Saints re-up Vilma than the 3rd becomes a 2nd, correct (as unlikely as it is)?

Also means they give their 2010 1st rounder to the Giants, which won't be happening. They'll probably make a nudge-nudge wink-wink deal with Vilma to wait until after the draft to sign with them.

so after all the addition and subtraction of picks - what are we left with? 1, 2, 6 & 7? Please say we have more picks then that!

Currently expecting one in each round, with the fourth rounder actually being from the Skins and the third rounder actually being from the Saints. WW85's list is the right one.
