The Cardinals have won three playoff games since 1947. Two of them occurred in 2009. Another one took place in January 1999.
I think the stat they announced after the Cards-Falcons game was their first home playoff win since '47.
of course there is a difference between appearing in and winning a Super Bowl, and since they are different that means they are two different topics that can be discussed. this topic happens to be about teams that haven't made it. why is that any less a valid topic to discuss than teams who simply haven't won it? feel free to start a topic on teams that have not won a Super Bowl, and if we find it interesting we'll join in. in the meantime, I don't see any reasonable reason why this topic has to be changed as if it isn't worthy of being discussed.
Yeah. playoff wins as Chicago Cardinals: 1 playoff wins as St. Louis Cardinals: 0 playoff wins as Phoenix/Arizona Cardinals: 3 home playoff wins as Chicago Cardinals: 1 home playoff wins as Phoenix/Arizona Cardinals: 1 NFL titles as Chicago Cardinals: 2 (1925, 1947) NFL titles as St. Louis Cardinals: 0 NFL titles as Phoenix/Arizona Cardinals: 0
I wasn't suprised they beat the Falcons but their win over the Panthers was shocking (I thought I was dyslexic when I saw the score in the 4th coming home from work). I don't expect them to beat the red hot Eagles, but they certainly deserve a lot of credit.
