I was going to get some neon orange construction paint and give them the Patented Zakk Wylde Spiral. I haven't figured out how to make it spin yet, but if anyone has an old walkman motor, I might be able to get crafty with some cardboard. "This is not the football you're looking for"
Sounds like exactly what I was suggesting. Now I thought of maybe orange & black swirls that spin around as they run. For sure that will drive the other side nuts
The Jets are Green & Whilte, Gang Green and all that good stuff. To me, I would be devasted if they decided to change their colors. IMO, incorporating black in the uni's (outside of sneakers) is an awful idea. I can't stand when teams do that crap.
i only read the first page so don't know if this has been pointed out, but before we change the team unis, and i do mean WAY before, we need to change the flight attendant unis. and most of the flight attendants as well. did you REALLY want to make the playoffs and go to the superbowl with THOSE outfits? thank god we have another year to hire someone who understands t&a
I hated the idea of going back to the retro unis. They're ugly. Too plain. Black edging or something to the previous uni would have gone a long way I think. And I liked those helmets and symbol....
To be fair, the Broncos didn't win a superbowl until they changed their uniforms. The year before, with their old 'Orange crush' uniforms still in place, they were 13-3 and probably the best team in the league (along with Green Bay), however, they were upset at home in the divisional round of the playoffs by the Jaguars. (they had the 1st seed in the AFC) The following season, with their new uniforms in place, they were 13-3 again (and started the season like 11-0 only to struggle down the stretch and not even get a bye as the Chiefs stole the division from them at 14-2) and ended up upsetting Kansas City and Pittsburgh on the road to reach the superbowl and then upset Favre and the Packers in the superbowl.
That's correct except the part about the '97 Broncos and Chiefs records. The Broncos won their first 6 games and then lost to Oakland on October 19th. By Thanksgiving, they were 10-2. They then beat San Diego, lost at Pittsburgh, lost at San Francisco, and beat San Diego again to finish 12-4. The Chiefs went 13-3 in 1997 to win the AFC Western Division.
New unis might just change the image this team has though. Right now? That image is one of a perennial losing franchise that after 40 years still can't seem to get out of its own way. Out of curiosity, When was the last time you bought yourself some new clothes and how did it make you feel?
Why? That's the reality isn't it? What's wrong with dealing with the here and now? Keeping the colors and the name would maintain the legacy. Other than that, there's really nothing there anymore is it...
Hey now. It took them 49 years just to get ANY cheerleaders so it should come as no surprise that they're not exactly experts at picking the best of the best here..
Having grown up in Jersey, lived in NYC, and traveled around the country and a lot of the world, I can tell you with confidence that the flight crew is made up of chicks that I would expect to see in that area. They are a fairly accurate representation, butter face or not.
