    That was because of Mangini.

If he wants to come back, he has the speed we need at LB. It improves a weakness and, maybe just as importantly, it gives us more flexibility heading into the draft.

I'm hoping for the Rex Ryan, Bart Scott combination. He would look damn good in green.

Agreed a hard hitting LB something this team lacks on defense a guy who brings it play after play and never takes a down off.

Vilma would take on the Ray Lewis position in Rex Ryan's defense. This would be amazing for me from a fans perspective as well as a management perspective. Harris is NOT athletic enough to be a playmaker, but he could team with Vilma as a great yin and yang balance.Right now we have to big physical guys but zero speed

Please get this done, although I think we have as much chance of reviving Derrick Thomas

I wonder if Vilma could play 3-4 OLB.

As far as bringing him back. I would be willing to try it. I'd rather have a guy like Ray Lewis or maybe Bart Scott who are Free Agents as well. But I wouldnt mind having Vilma back.

Get Vilma back. Get Ray Lewis. Get Mayo. Get 'em all! That'll solve the linebacking problem.

We need to try him out at the QB position. Atleast he can run around and avoid the sack...and give big hit to the DEs and lay them down if they come anywhere near him...I like this idea. Have him take out all the DEs, DTs and LBs, and then send in the rookie QB we'll draft in the 7th round. He'll be good as gold......great idea.

Next option could be replacing Mangold. The guy can block I tell you that. I just know it. Or the longsnapper.

If that doesn't work out, how about try him as a kicker? Heck, he'll be better than Nugent.

Finally, he'll be a good ball boy at least.

What about using are first round pick to draft a guy like Maulanga out of USC? He is somebody who could possibly be available when we pick and he can play 3-4 ILB. I think we need a game breaker at WR and would like to see us use our first round pick to adress that need but it never hurts to stregnthen the Defense. Especially when we have a hole at the other ILB posistion.

If we went WR or another posistion besides LB in the first round then the guy I would really want for 3-4 ILB to team with David Harris is Bart Scott. His numbers could be inflated because he plays with Ray Lewis but i still think he is a damn good player.

Totally agree on Mauluga in the 1st round and Kenny Britt WR in the 2nd round.

This isn't madden, a lot of people in this thread need to stop acting like they know what they're talking about.

Draft day trades and moving up like the JETS did last year acquiring Gholston and Keller in the first round. Its been done before and could be done again. In Tanne I TRUST.

Can we trade up for the best available Qb or De? Our two biggest weaknesses were our Qb play and getting pressure on the Qb from the end.

Did anyone actually see Vilma play this year? The games that I saw other than the National TV games, he looked pretty average at best. Most of his tackles were 7 yards down the field. Cut the cord on Vilma already. Good players thrive in whatever system they play in.

He had a good couple of years here but now, he is a No name on a pretty lame defense.
