every year there seems to be talented recievers available because of issues they are having with their existing team

this is know different then other years, I believe we would benefit to try and trade and bring one of these guys in.

    Braylon Edwards- 2nd rounder
    Ocho Cinco - 3rd rounder

I think either of these guys could help us alot.

    opinions?

1st? Britt is good, but I need to see some more and some good workouts for that. 2nd, maybe, Britt's pretty solid.

Britt is a borderline first rounder with Crabtree and Macklin coming out.

He'll surprise with his combine performance. I predict 4.47 and measuring in at 6'4"+

Yes, the Jets need to trade for every good receiver out there. I don't care what it costs.

braylon edwards, if he's traded, would cost way more than a 2nd rounder. chad might be realistic though.

edwards is talented for sure, do remember he is coming off terrible year for drops has voiced his huge desire to get out of cleveland and has a coach coming in who believes in the "truth in sports" won't tolerate edwards voicing displeasure.
All this equals a guy who will not draw his true valure because he is not going to play in cleveland next year.

I'd take Edwards, if it only cost us a 2nd. Any more and I'd say pass.

I would love Edwards for a 2nd but i doubt they do it, he is trying to force himself out of Cleveland by dropping his local charity work and starting charities in Michigan.

He had some drops, but I bet he could rebound and be a great player

The Way people are bitching about Coles drops on this board, they would have a feild day with Edwards. Never has such a talented guy Dropped more catchable balls. I'm not even a browns fan and its frustrating to watch.

I would not mind having Chad Johnson on the Jets. If we get him for a 3rd rounder he will feel embarrassed and try to work really hard and be less of a jerk.

Is he still under his rookie contract? Even then, I think still I'd only trade a 2nd for the guy that led the entire league in drops for the past 2 seasons.

Can someone post a little more info/link on Britt? He seems to be the guy everyone agrees will be the real deal on the next level.

Anybody see any similarities here? Not a reason to draft the guy... just saying...

I wouldnt mind drafting a big guy like Kenny Britt in the second or third round.

We are not going to have enough in my opinion to trade for a guy like Boldin but somebody like Braylon Edwards could be a possibility.

Boldin would be awesome. We'll never get him, and you're right, we don't have enough to give, but damn, I would be thrilled to see him in a Jets uniform.

With the uncertainty under center I can't imagine Chad being happy in New York. He'll never stop complaining.
