So you're banking on us playing against the Cowboys in Week 2 of next season and having Zach Thomas kill Thomas Jones?

No, I'm banking on sh*t happening and being prepared for it. Jones is getting up there, we're going to have to replace him at some point anyway, why not bring in someone now that way we can take pressure off of everybody instead of waiting for Jones to get hurt or his production to fall and then have to scramble for a replacement who is going to thrown into a sh*tstorm?

First let me say.....I'm a huge LeSean fan, he should be the first RB drafted in Rd 1, even ahead of Moreno. McCoy looks every bit the part of an NFL RB.

I would be disappointed if the Jets drafted a RB in Rd 1. Our needs are mucher greater than a 1st Rd RB. Spikes, Vontae Davis, Will Moore, Alphonso Smith, Jeremy Maclin.....would be more toward my preference in Rd 1. (Would love Mays , but it ain't going to happen at #17)

There will be some really good mid-round RBs available this year.....Kory Sheets (My favorite of the group), Marlon Lucky, Glen Coffee, Rashard Jennings....!!! Anyone of these backs would be a nice fit with Leon and TJ.

How good is Jennings?? I hear amazing things about him and small school prospects drop often based on competition.

I'd love to get McCoy but agree that we shouldn't get him in the 1st. If he's there in the 2nd I definitely take him. I like McCoy ahead of Moreno and Wells as well.

Jennings just has a good combination of size and speed. He's kind of reminds me of Edgerrin James. He's not a very smart back, but he uses his size and power to break through wrong holes. He's been very productive since transferring to Liberty from Pittsburgh.

I like the guy as a power back. Right now, I'm thinking he'll go mid to late third round, but he could go in the second with a solid combine.

He'll probably be the first I-AA prospect drafted.

    Completely agree with you here.

There are a bunch of good backs that should go in Round 1, but RB really isn't one of our big needs. Going with Safety, ILB, DE, WR, or QB would be a much better choice. I'd kill to see the Jets trade up for Taylor Mays.

Although if Shonn Green falls out of the 1st round, we should absolutely trade up to take him. That guy is an every down bruiser.

  7. He's got outstanding vision and breakaway speed. Man..the Combine is gonn be a dog fight this year among all the RB's.Granted most of them will wuss out of actually attending...which stinks.

    Moreno
    Wells
    McCoy
    Brown
    Greene
    Ringer

    That's alot of RB talent..

McCoy Delays His Decision on Declaring

he's gonna take some more time to think it over i guess

LOL....consider me greedy, but i'd rather he stay at school this year so we draft one of the pass rushing DE/OLB prospects at 17, because i dont think mccoy would last till our second round pick......next year hed most likely be ranked behind guys like best and dwyer at the RB position, so theres a shot he may be available for us wherever we pick in 2010.....

I love it, the more players at postiions we don't need that are high up in the draft the more of a chance we get the right guy at our needed positions
