He finally leaves Arizona for the promise land, playing for a big market team and making tons of money. And what ends up happening? The lowly Cardinals are in the NFC Championship game. Also trying to think of players that are ex-Jets and made playoffs: Ben Graham (he's gotta be thrilled) CP James Farrior Derrick Ward
I thought of making this thread after the season. Leaves Arizona, almost signs with Miami, instead ends up on the loser Jets.
The two Titans "key injuries" were both former Jets. DE Dave Ball and C Kevin Mawae. Plus they have Heimerdinger as their OC and Justin McCareins as their WR.
Probably just as pissed as Edge was when he left Indy and they go on to win the SB...Only difference is the Cards will not win the SB.
Kevin Mawae Dave Ball Justin McCareins Mike Heimerdinger Lorenzo Neal James Farrior Ben Graham Victor Hobson Ken Whisenhunt was our TE coach in 2000 Chad Pennington Jason Ferguson Dan Henning John Abraham Erik Coleman Kareem McKenzie Derrick Ward
As Royal Tee noted, Whisenhunt played for the Jets in 1991 and 1992. He made a few starts and was useful. Other Cardinals coaches who played or coached for the Jets- Maurice Carthon, Dedric Ward, John Lott, and Todd Haley. Pittsburgh backup safety Tyrone Carter is another ex-Jet still in action. Also, Otis (My Man) Smith is the assistant secondary coach for the Eagles.
The owner of the Colts (Irsay) still gave a SB ring to Edge as a "thank-you" for all his years with the team. Classy move on the owner's part, but probably hollow for Edge.
