He's been a low effort player. I betcha he'd be disliked by the majority of this board by Halloween. He'd make as much of an impact with the Jets as Curtis Conway and Justin McCareins.
The one guy I want to see signed by us that is not on your list is Michael Boley. Though booked earlier this year for abusing his wife, he is young (26), fast, has got good instincts, and before his arrest, he was known as one of the better players off the field. He is 6'3'' - 223 - don't know if that is undersized to play in the 3-4. Hopefully, his off the field issues are a one time thing.
It's hard to believe Suggs is only 26. I feel like he's been around forever because he's such a beast every year. If we could get him, our pass-rushing woes would be gone.
He was real good in 2007, probably Atlanta's best player. He was not as good in 2008, however. He basically platooned with Coy Wire down the stretch.
he is slow.i mean very slow.i live in jax and know alot about him on the field and believe me he's not good.thats why they brought in northcutt and porter the last 2 years to get him outa the lineup.we don't want any piece of that.did i mention he's slow
These are the guys we should get LaMont Jordan, UFA, New England Patriots Derrick Ward, UFA, New York Giants Pete Kendall, UFA, Washington Redskins Jonathan Vilma, UFA, New Orleans Saints James Farrior, UFA, Pittsburgh Steelers Justin Miller, UFA, Oakland Raiders
If thats the case with the $, then i agree, but if not, get him out of town. He's such a whiney little bitch. Still doesn't negate the fact that that position needs a super star upgrade.
At this point we have to keep him because of his contract, but that doesn't mean we can't go get a #1 WR, demote Coles, and move him to the slot. Unless, of course, we do that and he disrupts the team with his whining. Then you have a problem.
Most likely Raiders are going to sign a freeagent WR. It probably won't be Devery Henderson. Raiders have more than enough Burners at WR. The freeagent WR they probably would go after on that list would be T.J. Houshmandzadeh . A dependable WR for Jamarcus Russell, and a tutor to their young talented recievers. Chaz schilens 6'4 225 sub 4.4 speed 46 inch vertical and Johnnie Lee higgins 5'11 185 both played very well down the stretch. Also Raiders have their most promising young WR ON IR Arman Shields. 6'1 195 sub 4.4 speed. Runs great routes, Very good hands and has tremendous work ethnic. Shields missed all of his senior season due to injury . Raider pulled a Michael Bush with him- IR his whole rookie season . Even still being injured A shields was top perfomer at combine for WR's- in all drills, Bench Press Vertical Jump, 3 cone Drill, 20 yard shuttle and 60 yard shuttle. A clean sweep. WR Arman Shields out of Richmond unofficial 40 time of 4.38. He was also a Top Performer in all drills. Has anyone done that before? Outstanding Athlete! I know that his stock had to sky rocket with this type of performance! http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/arman-shields?id=2706
I like Henderson he would be a great pick up and TJ would be a great replacement for LC but since we are pretty much stuck with LC till his contract ends. Henderson would be a nice compliment at the 3rd wideout and could make it to 2 if LC was gone.
We definitely need a CB and S, whether it's via FA or draft doesn't matter we need upgrades. Could also use a Nickel CB as Lowery showed nothing at RCB or Nickel. I'd like to see Lowery moved to S... It'd be in our best interest to cut Bryan Thomas and his fat contract, and bring in a new passrusher; again doesn't matter via FA or Draft. This team has many holes as I think about what else we could upgrade. DE is not a position we should omit as Ellis gets older and Coleman proves to be unworthy of $4 mill/year. An NT to spell Jenkins would be nice but that's already too much to cover in one offseason. Eric Barton is also a FA and probably shouldn't be brought back as he showed major liability in coverage. Someone better coverage-wise must be brought in and no way we're getting rid of Harris. We have weapons on offense. All that we lack is a deep threat at WR and a QB(lol). It's up to the front office to decide priority on various holes because there's no way they can adress all of this in one offseason. No idea what we should do at QB, no freakin' clue but I hope we never see Brett Favre in Jet green n' white ever again! I think priorities rank as follows: 1. WR 2. CB 3. S 4. DE/OLB 5. ILB
he can run like the wind...but he has a pair of "hooks" for hands. If the CS can teach Henderson how to catch....he would add great value as a deep threat.
Karlos Dansby would be a tackling machine here. Maybe he can cover a TE and let Pace chase the QB for a change. A warm body at safety would be preferable at safety alongside Rhodes.
I'd like for us to take a look a Boley as well...He was pretty much blackballed by the ATL staff due to an off the field issue I think, but as far as I know he been MOSTLY a solid citizen except for ONE occurrance...hopefully he has learned and MIGHT be a good pick up for us - He's a talent no doubt.
Well I think we can all agree 6'3" 223 is way too small to fit anywhere in a 3-4 and we don't need a converted LB playing S. Next.
it's premature to starting predicting which Defensive FA's would be appealing...considering we could be switching our defensive scheme. I mean, I'd love to have Boley...but not if we're running a 3-4 alignment.
TRUE...I was just thinking of a guy I saw locally who is talented and will probably be available out there
