I'd like to see him in open competition with Feely under a new, more hardnosed CS. Perhaps spending some time being "inactive" may have lit a fire under the kid. Hopefully, wherever he lands, he'll realize nobody is just gonna give him a job because he kicked at OSU.
Not arguing, but I've heard people say Feely is a lot more of a locker room distraction. Still keep Feely?
First time im hearing any issues about Feely. More importantly we need a kicker who can put the ball in the end zone on kick-offs. Field position for the opponent is a big factor in the game.
Fair enough. I watched a thing on ESPN about the Dolphins woes in the previous season and they were saying something about Feely thinking he was more importent then he really was. Not sure what it all was.
Reminds of the movie The Replacements the kicker with baggage he was also being hunted down by the mobsters.
I want an open competition going into the offseason, whoever wins, is the kicker. I saw Green Bay do it with two kickers, televised. Mason Crosby, and cant remember the other guy, but both were kicking it from equal angles, distances, and ultimately Crosby was the overall crowd favorite. (He made all of his kicks).
i knew it was rayner. but wasn't sure. true, alot of people in green bay were excited about crosby, but in that live kicking competition, rayner missed kicks. crosby didnt. that solidified the choice for the coaching staff, and the fanbase.
Nugents the man I don't know what you guys are talking about.. bring him back and he will light it up...let him go and he will light it up some where else.
If Feely hadn't kicked so well, I'd so yes. But Feeley was very solid last season, so there's no room for him now.
i would keep feely. even though he did good this year, i still keep my fingers crossed on every field goal and almsost cant watch.
