really, nobody wants this job? that must be why Bill Cowher talks so much about it, coaches are willing to get fired over just an interview, and coordinators are lining up for interviews. bit of advice, don't ever go into a field that requires research. your interpretation of events clearly doesn't reflect any empirical truth.

I predict Mangini has a winning record next season, but never gets the team significantly better after that.

The coaching in-breeding goes on and on. It is amazing how the coaches are recycled like trash. I hope we come up with a gem of our own. Let's hope Woody and Mr T have their act together. What is Walt Michaels doing?

What did I miss? Did Cowher throw his hat back in? Did Callahan? Did anybody of any importance? Oh, wait you said third rate coordinators want it. I'll bet Schittenheimer leads your list. I think my research is just fine.

Well maybe I bought into too much of his bullshit, but he's a dude that commands respect from his players and I can get behind that. At the very least he's probably going to make the Browns 3-4 respectable, and will motivate Shaun Rogers effectively.

Cohwer hasn't shut up about it. if he wasn't interested, he wouldn't have played his song and dance through the media.

Commands respect but I'm not so sure he had it.

If he was interested he would just interview for it.

I think you will see Cohwer resurface in the Jets search, I can feel it.

Does this mean that we're now going to have repeated threads next Fall every time the Browns win or lose a game, as we do now with Kansas City?

lol...count on it. They may replace the KC threads though because I still think Edwards will get fired if they ever find a GM.

Yes. Chiefs threads, Browns threads, Chad threads, McCariens on the #1 seed threads, James Farrior was once a Jet threads, Mawae is also on that #1 seed threads, etc will all be in the Jets forum.

Rogers played his ass off for them.

Unfortunately, the rest of their D-line didn't.

I really hope Cleveland lets him run his shit. He's a smart, young coach who made mistakes that young coaches make all the time. Tomlin has much of his inexperience covered by LeBeau and the Steelers as a team. Mangini didn't have that luxury while working for a franchise that sports a vagina. Here's hoping he finds himself a nice DC.

I was one who thought the Fat Retard is not qualified to be an NFL head coach and would not get another NFL HC job , but Cleveland proves they are as inept as the Jets were when they hired Kotite after his debacle in Philly.

Remember Kotite had double digit wins his first 2 seasons , the Jets Hired him after a 7-2 team lost it's last 7 games. A finish very similar to Mangini this year.

Although his overall HC record seemed decent if you watched any Eagles games it was obvious he was in over his head , just like Mangini.

Mangini will be fired in 2 seasons just like Kotite was and will never be heard from again.

Someone put a muzzle on Michael Kay over being so over the freaking top about how the fans and press ripped Mangini before, and on his way out the door.

Ugh, Kay likes to say he doesn't play favorites, but it is clear that he liked Mangini the way he is ripping silly tabloid headlines and silly 1050 ESPN/WFAN radio callers.

Michael Kay should join Mangini in Cleveland. Seriously.

Didn't Mangini hire his own coaches?

Mangini won't do any better in Cleveland than Herm has done for KC.

Not really, could be more of an anti-New York thing.
