PLEASE READ: Top 10 for a QB is way to shaky. No position in the NFL varies as much from game to game as QB. Not to mention placing guys like Culpepper or Brees who suffered awful injuries last year would be a mess. Criteria: Production, Leadership, Effect on team (pulling carraige), Winning, Consistency, Dependability, Current outlook and overall Career outlook. And if I had trouble deciding I brought up the senerio: "If a war against Russia depended on a football game, who would you make your last-minute phone call to?" #1 Manning- This guy has a shot to end his career as the best QB of all time. But for that he needs atleast a ring. And for that they need to lose Dungy. Breaking records is great, but don't end up Marino Jr! The only reason why I give him the slight notch over Brady is he looks like he can hold a great over all place in NFL history. #2 Brady- Call him a system guy I don't care. Truth is he is he is a system guy, he works in any system you plug him into. You can't argue with 3 rings and 2 SB MVPs. You just can't. And for all the Brady haters, keep in mind Brady has done all this almost on his own. He didn't have an amazing WR pushing his whole career foward like say Culpepper. #3 Palmer- He finally bloomed into his own. Granted he has the help of CJ, but it's not really like that either. They seem more compliments to each other, a mutual relation. A 32:12 TD-INT ratio is excellent. Finally worth his draft pick and while the media loves Chad, he seems to be the guy incharge of the huddle. #4 Green- This guy is always overlooked. He's avg 60% completion his whole career (that's up there with guys like Brady, Manning, and Farve). He's thrown for over 4000 yards the pass 3 years (4591 in 2004). And has led the Chiefs to be the #1 ranked offense last 2 years straight. #5 Favre- Yes Farve. He still has it IMO. The guy throw for almost 4000 yards last year. So he had a bad TD to INT ratio last year. Can anyone name me a QB who had LESS to work with then Farve? Seriously? People want to point the finger at him, but he was the only thing pushing that team. With their ONLY WR threat out for the whole season week 1, their HBs looking like the Jets QBs, their OL stripped and not patched up, and with their D filled with holes, Farve STILL played like a champion. Next in line: Hasselbeck/McNabb
I think you guys have Trent Green a little too high. My list: 1. Manning 2. Brady 3. Roethlisberger 4. McNabb 5. Palmer
That was actually my original list, untill I came across Trent and Brett and then I just couldn't find enough reason for them not to be top 5.
Top 5. 1. Mark Brunell- He deserved to go to the pro bowl. 2. Peyton Manning- Hes really good 3. Tom Brady- Hes super gooder. 4. Jason Campbell- He has more potiential than any QB in this league. 5. Micheal Vick- He sucks at running but he is awesome at throwing.
I still have Farve in the top 10, I figure if you put him on the Steelers they get better if you put Ben on the Packers he is unknown.
