There is no way Stafford drops that low, but yeah, sure I'd take it.

How does Stafford fall to #17?

That would be amazing. Stafford and Britt, plus we pick up a CB and S in the mid rounds.

Won't happen though, Stafford won't fall that far.

If Stafford got past DET, STL AND KC and fell to the 17th pick than his agent wouldent just get fired but he'd be probably like blackmailed from the NFL LOL.

Props for a 4 round draft so early though, it isnt easy.

If you read the mock he makes a case for it.

By the way, this isn't my mock.

And I could see Stafford falling. Same reason Aaron Rodgers and Brian Brohm among others have fallen.

At this point I'll buy any mock that makes a reasonable argument.

That would be un-fucking-believable. Those are 4 very good players.

Stafford can fall. He's not the prospect Cutler was, IMO. He could be with another year- could even be better- but right now he's still way too inconsistent. He needs to tone his body and he needs to learn to stop forcing so many balls. I know he'll always be a gunslinger but there's a difference between being a gunslinger and being reckless.

I like it. It's different yet reasonable.

I'd snatch up Stafford or Bradford at #17 in a heart beat. This is a quarterback's league and the Jets haven't had good quarterback play since Pennington's first year starting or maybe even Testaverde in 1998. It'd be great if Ratliff could eventually start but you can't pass on Stafford, Bradford, or maybe even Sanchez because of Brett Ratliff.

If he comes out early and he drops to us...develop him. Thats what good franchises have to do. The best way to be a good team for a really, really long time is to not have to live and die on one player.

Absolutely. You have to protect your investment by setting him up to succeed. Don't force him into playing time unless he can handle it and make sure he has a supporting cast.

If Sanchez comes out, where do you think he goes in the draft?

To the post above mine - mid 1st.

If we were to change our 4th rounder to the player that they have NE taking 10 picks later (Worrell Williams, ILB -- the guy I have us taking with our 4th in my mock) than that is a perfect first 4 rounds. It would be the Jets best draft in possibly its history by getting 4 good starters with their first 4 picks.

Without knowing who our coaching staff it is tough to decide on the defensive side of the ball, but recently there has been great value in middle rounder 3-4 defensive ends, I can't see how we would not address those positions or nose tackle right away

The problem is we have a lot of holes still even if we were going for it next year, the pathetic group opposite Revis is a big issue as well as a safety opposite Rhodes, and then the bleak future QB as it is now and the aging and slow WR core, add to it depth at NT and a 3-4 DE needs as well as an upgrade to the LB core

And Brady Quinn would never be around at pick #22. But low and behold, He was!

Britt is going to have a monster combine, hope we get him in the first.
