Yeah, man! Thanks for posting this. I've been saying this for several days but... You know... "It's that idiot, Bosko, what the heck does HE know?"
So I get the silent treatment...

I think at this point Rod Marinelli's son in law might turn us down.

Seriously though what I wonder is how you may have to wait over a month before you can actually hire Spags or Ryan so why wouldn't you give the one candidate with the nicest resume two weeks to ponder his future?

More likely he will lose 12 of his first 16 games. Obviously keeping that fool Tannenbaum has caused every bit of this. Johnson is an asshole of historic proportions.

Let's take up a collection. If the Packer fans can do it, so can we. I got $20. Who's with me??

Why does anybody think Ryan or Spagnuolo would take the job either? Especially Spagnuolo who is in high demand by real NFL franchises.

I won't lose sleep over Shanahan but it is frustrating that Cowher wouldn't talk though I don't think that is dead just(I know what the Jets and his agent said). I think I want Marty assuming Cowher is out. There are a couple of good coordinator choices but we've been down that road so many times before, let's try a different approach. marty gets hired, Brian takes over when he retires and we'll be stable and in good shape for many years to come.

Our best hope for a real HC now lies with Parcells (if even he is interested as has been reported). Of course a lot of other things have to happen first to even make that a possibility.

It is reported there is no interest in Marty, that would be one reason. Of course that was a few rejections ago. I suppose things could change.

We need a Hc who at least has full athourity to run our draft. We have had the 4th and sixth picks over the last few years and we should have gotten at least one game changing player. It all begins with the draft and we need somebody who knows how to pick. Mangold and Revis were no brainers for our needs. If our new Hc can do that at least he can have the security of knowing he got his guys on the field.

We mised on Gholston(for now) but Ferguson nis a good LT and Tannenbaum has done a good job overall w/ the draft unlike when BP was our HC and in charge of the draft and we had 3 embarrassingly awful drafts.

I think Gholston was a workout warrior but I hope that I am wrong and I hope he gets a fresh start with the new coach. Ferguson is a good left tackle but the problem is for the slot he was drafted he should be blasting people off the line of scrimmage by now. He would be great if he were drafted with a lower pick but at the time it was a need of ours. I think Tannenbaum has done a good job with the later rounds but with our top picks he tends to go with media hype and combine numbers instead of getting the best Football player available.

Remember everyone wanted Matt Leinart, Vince Young or reggie Bush. We wound up getting a better version of reggie Bush in the 4th rd.

Any head coach coming to NY, knows there's going to be tremendous pressure on him to win. Add to that the fact that Woody needs to sell PSL'S, and that we are probobly going to be moving into a shared stadium, with a team that will be handing out SuperBowl rings, for the 2nd time, consecutivly!
What coach would want to come into this situation? No QB(weather Favre returns or not), a "win now" team, the pressure of the NY media, etc?
Guys like Cowher, Shanahan, and even Spags, are in such demand, they don't need to take a job, in the biggest media market in the world, and be under a microscope.
We love the Jets, so we're blinded, but let's face it, this is not the greatest job available.

Shanny wants to wait and see if Turner or Wade is fired. I also think he would go to the Chiefs to screw the Broncos.

Agree with you but the issue still remains Favre. Coaches don't want to deal with him at this junction anymore. they want more control over player selection and both Woody and Tanny are not allowing it in Brett's case. Had Brett retired after the season the selection would have been made already.
