NEW YORK -- Chad Pennington has made a comeback from a comeback.

The Miami Dolphins quarterback won The Associated Press 2008 NFL Comeback Player of the Year award Wednesday, the second time in three years Pennington has received the honor. He also earned it in 2006 while with the New York Jets.

Pennington is the first player in the 11 seasons of the award to win it twice.

So is he just going to earn it every even numbered year?

exactly. Comeback player of the year just means you had a rebound from a lost year.

    Chad's won it twice.......

Now we just need Brett Favre to win the "Go Away Player of the Year".

    Congrats!

This was as big a no-brainer as the Ryan ROY win. It really stinks to see Mayo win defensive ROY. The Ghost will win something... eventually

Its at least one thing Chad wins more than Tom Brady. Good for him. Still don't miss him.

Why are we talking about this like it's a good thing? This is not an award that you want to win twice! Comeback Player of The Year; all this proves is that he's "Hit & Miss". Sometimes you get the 2002/2006 Chad Pennington, and sometimes you get the 2005/2007 Chad Pennington. Miami can keep him! We'll consider letting him back in 2010.

A lot of people will argue he should be MVP. He probably deserves it more then Manning.

I'm not sure how you can watch them both play and say that Chad deserves it more than Manning

Manning should win his teams MVP award. But in all seriousness, c'mon can you really say that Chad doesn't deserve to win the NFL MVP award? He played a major role in turning around the worst franchise in the NFL last season, and taking them to the playoffs.

That's be like saying that if whatever rookie is drafted this year comes into Detriot and helps turn the team into a 11-5 team with a Playoff run that he shouldn't be a candidate for Rookie of The Year.

I would agree with that, I was just saying I doubt they'll give it to him of Peyton.
