Throughout the last 5 games, the majority of fans on this site called for Mangini to be canned! Now that it has happened....the same people have posted threads about how bad the FO is. What do you want...? A winning team that represents the fans well? WE HAD THAT and now that the "leader" has been dismissed and this team and franchise is in turmoil the many of you are still complaining! I am not saying that Mangini was a "GOD" but he was much better than Herm, and the numerious others who came before. Perhaps Woody actually "listened to the fans" and now the fans still aren't happy! Our biggest concern at this point (although it needs to happen first) shouldn't be who coaches this team next year, but who replaces Favre now that we cast Pennington aside to a division rival. Only time will tell.....STOP YOUR COMPLAINING.....MOST OF YOU GOT WHAT YOU "THOUGHT" YOU WANTED.....NOW SHUT UP AND DEAL WITH IT!
Agreed. Let's stop worrying about who we let go, and start worrying about who we still have, or are going to get.
Do any of you have faith in this Franchise's ability to switch gears? Not me... Now its time to really be afraid. The CS never has a Plan B and neither does its FO. God Help Us!!!
This is the best post that I have seen in the past few days. The majority of this board wanted Mangini fired for the last 5 weeks of the season. Now that it's been done everyone is complaining that this team has no direction. You can't have it both ways.
Unfortunately plan B at this point has to be to double down on plan A. Jets need to sell out to get Cowher. There really isn't anyone else out there who can make the best of what this team is right now.

What people wanted was a good coach and that left Mangini out. The fact he got fired means nothing until a new one is put in place.

I just think we are so used to making the wrong decisions, that whatever decision that is made, even if we wanted that change, we still expect it to backfire in our face. No matter what happens, or who we get, the fact still remains, Mangini coached his way out of here. He got what he deserved.
Mangini needed to go case closed.I'm sure Woody and Tannenbaum thought this through to some extent.The fact that this team finished at 1-4(in realility 0-5)was the kiss of death for Mangini.Whoever we get has to be the type of coach who can motivate this team.
Yeah I think once Cowher said he didn't want to be the HC, everyone hit the panic button. Now the sky is falling and we need Mangini back! Chill guys, sit back drink a nice cold beer and feel excited for a fresh new start with a new coach.
