    LOL Ecko,

I personally can't wait till Cowher formally declines this offer so this pipedream comes to an end.

Where would he go in 2010? What other position would be more attractive? Chicago? Minnisota? Dallas? Please.

Please enough with the mooch stuff. Mark it down , if the Jets choose Steve Mariuci as their Head coach we will suck for the next 10 years. Steve Mariuchi is another coach that has picked up his accolades from being on a super bowl team. He is even more hum drum then Mangini. People say he's a master motivator but we all know what that looks like. No way No how!

    Forward to 13 seconds...

    Everybody has a price...

Give him everything Woody...You'll make it back in more jersey sales, "Got Cowher?" tee shirts...and PSL's

The mere fact he has put Cleveland to bed and not the Jets is tell tale that he is not apposed to taking offers. The news that the Jets are willing to shuffle the chain of command doesn't come out because they want to look desperate , they are getting feed back from cowhers people and something is in the mix.

Peter King is saying the same thing as Schefter regarding Cowher. In my opinion, wecan't to hire another coordinator with no experience and I dont want anyone other then Cowher. So from perspective, if Bill says no thanks, we are screwed. If we hire Marty, then I am done. He is Herm Edwards Sr. I will never, ever be able to survive Marty Ball, the ultimate, play not to lose coach in the history of sports.

Of course he should be interested in us. We still have very good workable personnel on the team and as Tannenbaum has said, there is a foundation in place. It is not like what Mangini inherited after Herm left.

As far as Spagnolo goes, I didn't think he could be talked to until after the playoffs are done.

I didn't read that in the article anywhere...

The article says that Cowher has expressed interest in the Jets. Two different things.

I see. word the same topics differently and they become different topics. I got it. when Cowher says he'll listen to the Jets, that means he's interested.

My baseless suspicion is that Schefter has a legitimate source for his claim, but that the information is out of date.

    As ever, time will tell.

Cower a No Go according to one AP line

My Buddy's a radio news anchor in Green Bay. There are a lot of different stories going around about this, but the latest says Woody and Cower discussed the position today, and Cower said no unless they fire Tannenbaum. Allegedly, Woody said no thanks.

Nothing like this has been posted here. Anyone else hear this?
