The more i analyze this, the more i think our next coach is Shottenheimer. In Woody/Tanny's press conference, they were talking about wanting Favre back, and how he would be more comfortable with a year of this offense under his belt. That statement tells me that Brian shotty will be back as offensive coordinator, and who else but Marty would keep him? Marty has been around this team a lot, this season. Woody said they have been thinking about Mangini's future for a while. I think that maybe talks with Marty have been going on, before Mangini left the building.
Marty wins in the regular season, but he's 65 years old. How much longer do you think he's going to coach the Jets?
That hire would make me angry for a short period until the Cubs start playing so badly I forget the Jets for a while and get angry at them instead.
beningo had a good point. the guy is over 100 games above 500 in the regular season and has coached 18 playoff games. i personally think its gotta happen for him sometime. as far as brian staying, i mean marty at least has some more say with his son in place so that alone has to make it better than him with any other coach.
Didn't the Jets beat the Chargers in the playoffs while Herm was here....both Schottenheimers were on the Chargers' staff that year. I would like to think Woody's memory isn't that short. Martyball would kill this fan base, guys....Woody admitted in his press conference that he's considering the fan base in his decision-making. PSLs BABY!!
Met fan here. 2008 has not been a great one for me. Come to think of it my whole fucking life has been pretty sucky. Will you kill me please?
I just mentioned this in another post... i agree, i think theirs allot more interest in him than any of us want. lol his name keeps coming up, over and over....
 Yeah, that too. I'll give you two guesses who I bet it all on during the last two weeks of the season!
