I'm not one to stir things up and demand the signings of players but we all clearly want Favre gone. I think Jeff Garcia would fit this team perfectly so long as we drafted a franchise quarterback within the next year or two.

Give the guy a decent team and he's a proven winner.

Are you kidding me? The guy runs out of the pocket when he has time! His arm strength is dead and even he has contemplated retirement...

Jeez this is getting out of control. Now i'm going to dive into the "Bring Herm back thread"

If we draft a QB or decide to go between Clemens and Ratliff i think its a good idea to bring in a veteran QB for a year and i wouldn't mind Garcia.

Unless you want to waste a couple years on Clemens or some other bullshit we need a veteran stopgap. Sorry Favre isn't it because of all his shananigans.

Never deal in absolutes. Didn't anyone teach you that? And I do want Favre back.

Stop with these damn retreads. Develop your own QB that you will have for years.

Who's responsible for "running" the system? Who is the conductor?

Why not? They already wasted $13M and a year on Favre. What's a couple more years at a bargain QB salary? At least they'll be guaranteed a few high draft choices to turn this puppy around. And with all the money they'll save on not paying these overpriced Senior Citizens, they can shore up some other needy positions.

His recievers make all his yards.. They have the highest YPC in the league... Come on... Look at the Talent on that team compared to the Jets.. They Finished 11-5 with no running game.. Do the Jets have a Randy Moss or Welker? Come on... I knew there would be some idiot who wanted Cassel... What about Anderson?

Why dont we draft a franchise QB instead of going out and getting Oold QB's whose better days are clearly behind them?

How 'bout no QB in 2009? Let's go with the single wing full-time.

If it came down to this, they would still find a way NOT to give T. Jones and Leon the ball enough.

In all seriousness though, to address the QB situation. At the moment, if Favre comes back, whatever. I don't want him to, but it might happen. If he doesn't, we go and get a YOUNG QB (maybe look to the draft). We do NOT go out and sign an OLDER FA QB (coughGarciacough).
