He is the man for the job! Good as the 49ers coach, bad luck in Detroit (Like everyone else there). He can turn this ship around and have the players believe in him! He has fire in him too! WHO IS WITH ME?!?!
He would be #2 or #3 on my short list, but I definitely wouldnt be upset over this. There are alot of good coaches that would be willing to take this team over, so we better not end up with some chump...
It wouldn't be bad. I'd like him if Cowher said No, and Spags took something else... But he did a lot in Frisco with a team who was in major Salary Cap problems. He made Jeff Garcia, and was an overall good coach. Like his energy. He beats Fassel by a mile...Wouldn't be mad about this, at least he's proven.
I doubt he wants to coach again, but I like him alot. The Jets should atleast look at him as an option.
I wouldn't mind getting Mariucci. However, if he begs for Favre to come back (at 40 years old) then I would have a problem. He is obviously good friends with Favre and I would imagine that he would be on Woody's / Tennenbaum's coaching list assuming they want to see Favre back again.
Whoever it is, is going to be cautious. They'll be replacing a coach who had 2/3 winning seasons. If anything, it's not going to be someone who cares about job security. Which is why all the "Old Timers" have a better shot. Mooch, Cowher, Shotty Sr., and even Parcells. These are all guys that are looking for short runs to get the coaching bug out of 'em.
I think it is Cower. I like Mariucci, and think his relationship with Favre probably counts with Woody. Please stop mentioning Parcells. He has the perfect life as a GM. Why would he want to do the dirty work!
Honestly, I don't mind that idea......Like someone said, everyone loses with the Lions.....Mooch isn't at the top, but I like him in the top 5.... 1. Cowher 2. Billick 3. Schotty 4. Spags 5. Mooch
Yeah, because he was so successful at turning around the other losing franchise, that one in Detroit.
