I'm glad I didn't purchase one, or get one for Christmas. I'm on the verge of buying a Leon very soon though. That is worth the money.

After 2 Moss jerseys and a Vilma jersey I decided to not get any more for a while. My next one will probably be Leon or Revis.
you know what? whatever he does going forward, i don't regret having my favre jersey. he's an all-time great, and one of my favorite football players that i've seen play (considering his entire career). so i'm proud that he's a part of jets history, even though this season ended horribly.
In 5 years when it's a throwback and everyone laughs remembering Favre played that one season for the Jets I'm going to be happy I bought one the day after he was traded here. Washed up or not, its not often your favorite player in the NFL not on your team, a guy you turn fair trades off in Madden to get gets traded to your team. I regret nothing about the whole thing.
I have a rule. A player must be with the Jets 3 years and must be coming back for a 4th. It saves me from buying to many jerseys.
LIke i said before : on August 6th, the day of the Brett Favre fiasco, I told my brother and father, who are also huge Jet fans, that 1) The Jets are at best a 9-7 team with Favre because he is a has been, and will not make the playoffs, and 2) they are getting him for a one shot deal to go to the SB, which is a huge mistake and will set them back for years, and it was at the expense of Pennington, who i loved. So i did not root for the Jets this season because i cannot stand Favre anyway, and the Jets sold out my guy for someone who is just passing through looking for more glory to feed his already huge ego. I guess karma is a bitch and the Jets got what they had coming to them. I didnt think that favre would sabotage Mangini's job on the way out. Man is he s class act.

Wow! Great call!! I'm not as much of a Penny fan as you but I can't seem to root against him as a person. In terms of buying the Favre jersey... Bwaahahahaha! No effin' way! I never really liked him and when he came here it all seemed contrite and phony. I don't think I was ever fully onboard because I knew like you it meant disaster for the future. My only jersey has been a Curtis Martin Jersey.
