"But showing ZERO class by running off the field as soon as time ran out. Talk about slinking away from the scene of the crime."

Agree 100%. He can't hang around the field and talk to some of the other players or maybe do an interview??? Totally spineless and cowardly move on his part by jetting off the field ASAP. But then again, we all knew he never wanted to be on that field to begin with. He just came here to grab a quick buck and fuck off. Many may consider him to be a Hall of Fame QB, but he has the class of a Bush Leaguer. No wonder The Pack told him to go screw himself - he deserved it!

Not just interviews. After every game all 17 weeks of the year the two QBs go to shake hands in the middle of the field. Obviously Favre could not stand the idea of this. KC had to do this for Favre. Funny to see Chad congratulated by a guy that didn't even play a snap all season.

People say Favre plays like he is still a kid. The truth is he loses like he is still a kid also.

Favre is garbage. We were rebuilding and on the right path. We had good drafts, added solid veterans. Mangini was getting there. And then they throw Favre into the mix. Against Denver Favre plays horribly, the cancer starts to grow. By week 17 Favre is trashing Mangini secretly. Probably telling Woody that he won't dare come back if Mangini is still here. Season ends mostly because of Favre's horrible play. Woody has some boner for Favre, in a knee jerk reaction he fires Mangini to keep Favre happy and hopefully come back. So instead of having a stable organization going forward we now have no qb or coach. What a joke Woody is.

Favre helped take the Jets from a losing 4-12 to a winning 9-7. It may not be the best scenerio everyone hoped for but at least the Jets are winning again and that beats last years record by a mile !!

The Jets improved to 9-7 despite Favre, not because of him.

    Exactly

Imagine if the Jets had a QB who throw more TDs than picks this season!

Huddle speeches decide games now? Shotty's inept offense lost the game, not Favre's speech. Sutton's D actually didn't suck for once, but for whatever reason they put their best offensive player on ice for final game of the season.

yes, message boarders have the credibility to define what it takes to motivate pro-athletes. pro-teams are missing a tremendous resource by not tapping into the internet forums for what is missing on their teams.

I'll say this, pre game and halftime speeches are overrated by those who have never experienced them but they say alot about the motivation and desire of a team and it's leaders. That was easily the most uninspirational little babble I've heard, and this might be me looking to far into it but the whole thing sounded very removed and generic.

I give better speeches each week for our Flag Football tournaments, but then again we actually play inspired football.
